I then wanted to test the forgot password function. I ran the application from Visual Studio which loaded the login screen. I clicked forgot password and entered a valid gmail account. I got no email from auth0 in my gmail account. I also tried the resend email function to no avail. How do I get my forgot password email?

3. Gmail will then attempt to walk you through the various authentication methods that you have on your account; for example, this might be an authenticator key or the option to send your phone a notification. In the latter case, pressing Yes on the notification will let you reset your password.

5. Assuming that you have successfully verified your identity, Gmail will now ask you to set a new password. Try to choose something you won't easily forget, or write it down somewhere safe.

Add a phone number and recovery email to your Google account to avoid future password recovery troubles. If you have similar problems in the future, restoring access to your report will be simpler, thanks to these extra recovery alternatives. Take these steps:

To add another level of protection during the password recovery procedure, Google allows users to create security questions. You may more quickly authenticate your identity and obtain access to your account by providing accurate answers to these questions.

Your Gmail account has an additional degree of protection thanks to two-factor authentication. When signing in, you must provide your password and a second verification number if you use 2FA. This code is usually created by an authenticator app or transmitted by SMS to your mobile device. The extra authentication step that 2FA demands makes it far more difficult for unauthorized users to access your account.

Ensure the recovery email address and phone number linked to your Gmail account are current and correct. If you forget your password, you may use these recovery alternatives to get back into your account. Check and update your contact information in your Google account settings often to make sure it is accurate.

Never share or keep your password in a location where it is readily accessible. Use a password manager, which securely saves your passwords and enables you to create and maintain robust, individual passwords for several accounts. Password managers provide access to an encrypted vault where you may store your passwords, offering additional security against unwanted access.

If you don't have an alternate email address or cannot access the email account you used to create your Google Account, you can reset your Google Account after 24 hours by answering the security question for password recovery.

Have you forgotten your Gmail password? Fortunately, it's quick and easy to restore access to your account by resetting your password. This wikiHow article will show you how to recover a lost or forgotten Gmail password using Google Settings on your Android phone or tablet, or using a web browser on your iPhone, iPad, or computer.

Hi,

For some reason, accounts created by signing up with your gmail account (not to be confused with signing up by entering your gmail email) does not receive password reset email. I was able to login again by clicking the login with gmail button

To answer your direct question, a RESTful URL should identify the resource you want to handle your request. In this case, the resource is either the user, or some password-resetting resource within the user.

This makes sense from a HTTP point of view, since you could issue a GET on the resource and receive something which indicates how to action a password reset (e.g. a HTML form prompting for the email address of the associated account).

I'm currently having trouble with the password reset mail created by make:auth in Laravel 5.6. My app is hosted on Heroku. In my local environment everything works fine. I have set the right values in the config vars in Heroku, same in my local .env file:

See the following sections for instructions on changing your email account password for several major email providers. If your email account provider isn't listed, contact your admin or the email provider's help desk.

Other email accounts will require you to change your email account password on the website for the account provider. For example, to change the password for an Xfinity account, go to the Xfinity website and follow the prompts. Many email account providers have slightly different steps for changing a password.

Dropbox has changed my password for "security purposes" and now I can't login. I was told to request a password reset - so I did - entered my email, saw it popup and say "an email has been sent" - and never received the email. What follows is a message I sent via the Dropbox.zendesk.com support - which I'm able to login to. The problem is, other than the obvious, I keep getting the same response - which I posted below my support request here. Can anyone please help???

I do have access to my email - that's not the problem. I've requested the password reset and I'm not receiving the email with the link in it. I'm receiving the emails from you without any problems. I have added the "no-reply@dropbox.com" to my contacts.

Dropbox reset my password. Now I can't access all the photos of my children that are stored there. I'm trying to do a reset and for some reason I'm not getting the email with the reset link from Dropbox.

Attached please see jpg files verifying the request for the password reset, veryfying I'm receiving OTHER emails, into my email account associated with my Dropbox account - from you, and verifying that I have the "no-reply" email address in my contacts.

Again, I am simply not receiving a reset email from Dropbox. Dropbox changed my password and now I can't access my baby's pictures. What we need to do to fix this? Can we escalate this? It seems evident there is a problem somewhere between my requesting a password reset and Dropbox's outgoing email - what do we do now?

If you don't receive an email after a reasonable amount of time, please check your spam folder to ensure that no-reply@dropbox.com is not blocked. You can also add no-reply@dropbox.com to your address book and request another password reset email.

The fact that you didn't receive the password reset email from Dropbox does not mean that they didn't send it to you (they did indeed send it to you, almost instantly). The blame for not receiving the password reset email falls on the shoulders of the several possibilities including your email account or the email program that you use (eg: Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird).

One possibility that can prevent the password reset email from getting through to you is if you're trying to perform this task while at your place of employment. Some businesses may block certain emails because it's not work-related or in an effort to prevent possible malware from infecting their network via an employee's personal email account.

Hi all...so, I just got the same, canned, response - AGAIN! After the long explanation that I'm simply not receiving the password reset email - after sending screenshots veryfying that email is working, that I have the no-reply email address in my contacts...is this a joke? Does anyone know how to get in touch with Dropbox support on the phone?

Hi! I created my account back in 2016-2017 and I didn't use it for a while. I changed my phone since then and now I can't login because I don't remember my password. When I try to reset it, it says that the reset email was sent but I didn't receive anything. I tried looking into the spam folder and creating a contact with no-reply@dropbox.com but nothing worked. I know this is the right email because I got a lot of mails from dropbox about my account saying that my account storage is full and I should upgrade.

I have a similar issue. I am trying to set up Dropbox on a second device but cannot remember password. Have requested a email to the email address that is in my profile multiple times but have not received it. It is not in my junk or spam folders and I have added Dropbox to my address book.

I can't delete my account because I don't remember the password.

When I try to reset password - I don't get an email.

I have access to the account - via Google Sign In

How can I delete an account?

I was able to see that the reset password email has been sent by our server but that it was deferred because your email server gave the following error message: DNS_Failure. This may or may not be a temporary problem. This error originated from your email server, so your IT team would be the best resource to look into why this email is being rejected. If that can help your team investigate the issue, the email was first deferred yesterday at 9:32PM GMT+1/ and 3:32PM GMT-5.

Hi, my current subscription is due for renewal however I have been unable to log to update my details. New card number. I have tried the 'reset your password tool' but I simply am not receiving the email. I have obviously checked spam folders and filters and continue to receive other emails from Kaspersky at the same email address but still no reset email. I have tried contacting customer support but have not received any communication beyond the conformation email. Anyone have any ideas. 006ab0faaa
