Easy Access to Golfer and Golf Course Handicaps
Golfer lets you create groups of friends or league members, along with preferred golf course tees with their Rating, Slope and Par from the scorecard. Touching the update button will download the latest CDGA and GHIN player indexes. Golfer will then provide updated tee handicaps for all your golfers or tees in your groups before playing.
Golfer Handicaps
With the recent changes, the calculation of handicaps for any tee has become more complicated. You can get handicaps for any tee from websites or other apps, but it requires a number of steps through the process to get them. The Golfer App lets you setup groups of players and courses for the family, friends or league that like play together, and provides fast access to tee handicaps for anyone in your groups.
Friends, family or league player groups can be setup to get rapid access to handicaps. Golf course tees can also be organized in groups for local courses, tournament courses or perhaps out of state courses. Once setup, selecting any golfer will show that persons handicap for all of the tees in all of the groups. Similarly, selecting any tee will show the handicaps for all players in all groups for that tee.
Handicap indexes can be automatically downloaded from the CDGA websites using the player details, and then the app updates handicaps for all tees using the definition in the World Handicap System publication.
Handicap = (Handicap Index * Tee Slope / 113.0 - (Course Par - Tee Rating)
Handicaps are rounded to the nearest whole number.

Handicaps are provided for all players for the selected tee.
