Q. & A. with Marissa
What type of puppies are these?
These puppies are "multigen" doodles or double doodles (meaning both parents are doodles, so the no-shed gene goes back on both sides )
Jojo is the dam and she is a double-doodle (a golden doodle-labradoodle mix).
Diamond is the sire and he is a golden doodle (73.3% poodle and 26.7% golden retriever)
Why did you start breeding?
I am being mentored by a close friend with decades of whelping experience. I have always been allergic to cats and after saying goodbye to our yellow lab about 17 years ago I reluctantly admitted I was allergic to him as well. Of all the dogs that we have had, Jojo has been the most perfect for us family dog. She is gentle, calm, sweet, easy to train, loves people and other dogs and does not shed.
What makes this litter special?
These pups are a part of our family and life and receive love and stimulation from every size of hands. We have a 16 year old, 13 year old and 10 year old that all help to love and care for these puppies. It's a team effort to raise our pups in our house and backyard. These puppies are exposed to a variety of sights, sounds and typical neighborhood experiences. We don’t own a kennel and enjoy giving our pups freedom to play with each other and our friends and family. Their areas are constantly cleaned and maintained and the pups are pre-potty trained from around 3 weeks.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in our home in Goleta, California.
Approximately what size will the puppies be when fully grown?
40-50lbs
