About Us

I am Ann Vickers, a 300-hour Hatha Yoga instructor. I am also certified in Restful Mountain Chair Yoga and am working on my certifications for Restorative Yoga and to become a Roll Model Method Practitioner.

All of my classes, whether strong slow flow, gentle, beginner, or chair, focus on connecting students to their breath and movement to breath. I design all my classes to work on flexibility, strengthening and balance—everything we need to improve and sustain our mobility. I encourage the use of props in class to improve alignment, enable safe movement and to assist in isolating and focusing on specific muscles and particular areas of the body.

Because of the slower nature of my classes, they’re great for beginners; people looking for mindful movement; those seeking strength, balance and flexibility; and those looking for a practice that leaves you relaxed and rejuvenated, not exhausted.

I found my way to yoga when I was battling stress in the corporate world and trying to balance out my autoimmune system, which had gone haywire with allergies. Once I left the 10-12-hour days behind, I spent two years trying to improve my health and stop the feeling of dread and stress whenever the alarm clock went off or my cell phone rang. I reconnected with yoga and decided I wanted to teach so I could help others discover the freedom from stress, improve their health and strengthen their overall being, just as I have.
