The Dubs are back in the Bay for a Friday night clash with the Boston Celtics, the first meeting between the two teams. The Warriors return to San Francisco for just the one game on Friday night before heading back on the road for four games next week in New Orleans (Sunday), Memphis (Tuesday), Dallas (Wednesday) and Utah (Friday). After having their eight-game winning streak snapped by the the Jazz on Monday night, the Warriors are looking to break out of their two-game skid against Boston.
The Warriors and Celtics have split the season series each of the last four seasons, with the road team winning both games a year ago. Golden State hasn't lost both games to the Celtics since the 2010-11 season.
The Warriors lost a contentious back-and-forth matchup with the Lakers on Wednesday night 113-112. Stephen Curry erupted for 52 points, but a dunk by LeBron James with 13 seconds left proved to be the difference. Full Recap
Curry is off to a blazing-hot start to the season, averaging more than 30 points per game, third in the NBA, while shooting more than 50 percent from the floor, 40 percent from deep and 90 percent from the free throw line. The 52 points scored by Curry are the most since Klay Thompson had 52 points against the Chicago Bulls on October 29, 2018.
