The Warriors make their second and final trip to Oklahoma City on Saturday night to cap off their third back-to-back of the season. In their first visit, the Warriors offense failed to get it's footing in a 120-92 loss. Since the Thunder loss, the Warriors have ripped off seven straight wins to pull themselves into a tie for the Western Conference lead.
D'Angelo Russell poured in 24 points, Stephen Curry scored 31 points and Draymond Green grabbed 13 rebounds to go with 13 points as the Warriors took down the Rockets in Houston 125-113. Willie Cauley-Stein collected his second straight double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Full Recap
Draymond Green, as expected, has been the anchor of the Warrior offense and defense. He has tallied more than 10 rebounds in seven straight games, a new career best, while serving as the fulcrum of the Golden State defense. On the offensive end, Green has provided the punch when necessary, scoring more than 10 points in four of the last seven games while dishing out at least five assists in four of the last seven games as well.
The Thunder have had an up and down start to season. After opening the year with a pair of losses, the Thunder earned their first win of the season over the Warriors. Since then, they've won two of their last five games, including flipping a two-game winning streak into a two-game losing streak. Danilo Gallinari and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, acquired as part of the Paul George trade, lead the Thunder in scoring with 19.9 points per game and 19.8 points per game, respectively. With the three-headed guard combo of Gilgeous-Alexander, Dennis Schroed and Chris Paul each averaging at least 4.1 assists per game, the Thunder are one of just seven teams to have three or more players averaging more than 4.0 assists, along with the Warriors, Clippers, Hawks, Lakers, Mavericks, Nets.
