This academy was founded in 2017 as the first official high performance football academy in Pakuro Mowe Ogun State Nigeria. The project began 10 years earlier in 2000 with the objective to facilitate future employment opportunities for talented footballers. In 2000, a volunteer take it upon himself to start training the boys at Obafemi Owode Primary School, Pakuro, Mowe, Ogun State. He saw the potential in them and believed they can use their youthful energy in sport so as to bring glory to Pakuro and his environs. More so, to entertain the people around with their football skills and talents. From that idea, the Golden Star Football Academy was born.
Following the initial success of the idea, a lot of talented young glad had rose to stardom in football within and outside the community.
Due to community crisis the Golden Star Football Academy got disband, many flew the area for their safety. So, in 2017 we came up with up with re-branding and reformation of the team which required a hugh sum of money to make it work.
We've started it and we are sailing smoothly, but still need a whole lot of assistance financially.
Golden Star Football Academy is strongly in support of the development of boys soccer skills as well as
encouraging positive involvement in society. Our goal is to provide competitive environment to the players as
well as fielding a competitive team that enjoys success locally and regionally.
The Golden Star Football Academy is guided by a volunteer team of Coaches, Red Cross officials and
dedicated parent volunteers.
Therefore, We are offering opportunities to business tycoons to become our team sponsor.
Your contribution will be targeted exclusively to lessen the growing cost of the team, enabling all members to
fully participate in team training programs, Golden Star Football Academy league games, local and regional tournaments etc.
