Cognitive psychologist specialising in information processing in our immediate memory.
I completed my B.Sc. (Hons) at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, United Kingdom, in 2018. My undergraduate dissertation focused on the effect of cognitive load on feature binding in visuospatial working memory. During the completion of my dissertation, I became fascinated with how information is processed in our immediate memory and aimed to investigate this further.
After a short break outside academia, I completed my Ph.D. in psychology at the University of Essex, Colchester, United Kingdom, co-supervised by Dr Vanessa Loaiza (Colorado State University, USA) and Dr Nicholas Cooper (University of Essex, UK). My Ph.D. thesis examined how visual information is processed and maintained in our working memory, by closely investigating the role of attention, and what happens to outdated information in our memory when we no longer require it.
Outside of academia, I enjoy learning about new cuisines and travelling with my husband.
