1 in 5 children and adolescents in the US is affected by childhood obesity. We are aiming to push that number down by providing cardiovascular and challenging exercises to keep your children moving. They can in fact burn calories instead of spending hours on electronic devices and munching on junk food. Plus, we also incorporate games and activities between the exercises so your kids will never get bored while staying active.
Our martial arts classes help children achieve better understanding about body coordination and develop a better mind-body connection. Student can learn to become aware of their bodies, thus enable them to get better at regulating their movements and reactions. Students also learn to control their thoughts, emotions, and actions both inside and outside of classes.
Our students encounter different challenges in various situations, and the challenges can vary from person to person. As your children overcome them with consistency and determination, their confidence will thrive, which leads them to set ambitious goals for themselves. Students would also obtain good feeling as they have successfully accomplished something that they never thought they could do. This confidence, when applies in real life, will empower your children to overcome any life obstacles with resilience.
Your children will be taught that they must always respect their instructor and their classmates. As they enter and going out of their training sessions, students must bow to their instructor and their classmates. This is important to teach them to acknowledge others with higher authority and it is important to show humility toward others.
Almost 1 in 4 students report being bullied in school. We want parents to be assured that students know how to stand up for themselves against bully or aggressive people by teaching them various self-defense skills, which including grappling, striking, weapon defense, and ground defense.
- Of course, we do not want children to apply force recklessly. Along with teaching self-defense techniques, we do emphasize that they should only use Taekwondo outside of dojang only to protect themselves or others and use the least force as possible. We also instruct them that non-violent approaches are also possible cool down the intense moment whenever they are confronted by a bully.
- After spending some time training with us, it's common for your children to view our studio as their second home. This is where lasting friendships blossom, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment. Our studio provides a healthy setting for your children to forge bonds and train alongside other motivated students, thereby enhancing their social skills.
