Two to 4 years after planting, the Arabica plant produces tiny, white, highly sweet smelling flowers. The sweet aroma replicates the sweet aroma of jasmine flowers.

After pruning, berries starts to emerge. The berries are dark green like the leaves until they start to ripen, at first to yellow and then light red and eventually darkening to a glossy, deep red. At this point, they’re called “cherry” and are ready for picking. The prize of the berries is the beans inside, generally 2 per berry.
