Schooling at Velammal

I completed my schooling at Velammal, a reputed institution known for its strong academic foundation and disciplined learning environment. During my time at Velammal, I developed a keen interest in science and technology, participated in various academic competitions, and gained a solid grounding in both theoretical concepts and practical problem-solving. The school's emphasis on excellence, time management, and values-based education has played a significant role in shaping my academic journey and personal discipline.

Academic Achievement – Higher Secondary Education (Class 12)

I completed my higher secondary education (Class 12) at Velammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School, where I specialized in the science stream. I graduated with a commendable score of 85%, reflecting my consistent dedication, time management, and strong grasp of core subjects including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Velammal’s structured and disciplined academic environment enabled me to develop a clear understanding of complex concepts and apply them effectively in both classroom assessments and board examinations. This performance laid a strong foundation for my further studies in engineering and continues to inspire my academic pursuits in the technical field.

Academic Journey – From Schooling to SRM University

After successfully completing my higher secondary education at Velammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School with 85% in Class 12, I appeared for the SRMJEE entrance examination and secured admission into the B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) program at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (City Campus).

My passion for technology and innovation led me to actively participate in various clubs and student organizations such as the Optizen Club, ECE Club, and others. Through these platforms, I enhanced my technical, leadership, and collaborative skills by engaging in workshops, organizing events, and working on real-time problem-solving activities.

During my time at SRM, I have worked on a diverse range of academic and club-based technical projects, spanning domains such as embedded systems, automation, robotics, and IoT. These experiences have enriched my practical knowledge and helped me build a strong foundation for industry readiness.

In my second semester, I secured a Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) of 7.6. This reflects consistent academic performance across both theoretical and practical subjects. During this period, I also actively engaged in co-curricular and voluntary activities, which helped me develop strong time management and multitasking skills.

While there is always room for growth, I consider this SGPA a balanced outcome of my academic efforts and extracurricular contributions. I am continuously working towards improving my academic performance in upcoming semesters.

Currently, I hold a CGPA of 7.6 (with no backlogs) and have consistently maintained a steady academic record. My coursework has given me a solid foundation in core ECE subjects such as Digital Electronics, Signals and Systems, Communication Theory, Embedded Systems, and VLSI Design. Alongside theory, I have gained significant hands-on experience through lab sessions and mini-projects.

SRM’s dynamic environment has allowed me to explore learning beyond the classroom. I’ve been an active member of multiple student clubs, including:

Optizen Club – Promoting awareness and solutions in optics and photonics
ECE Club – Organizing departmental activities, competitions, and technical workshops
And other interest-based forums within the campus

Through these platforms, I’ve collaborated with peers, participated in events, and contributed to the successful execution of various technical and social initiatives.

Moreover, I have worked on several technical projects related to automation, sensor systems, and embedded development, further enhancing my practical knowledge and team coordination skills.
