If you like to relax while being spoiled and pampered on vacation, an all-inclusive resort is the vacation for you. Also: If you like to see new places and experience new things, an all-inclusive resort is the vacation for you!
Whether you want to relax by the pool or go zip-lining about the canopies, an all-inclusive resort can give you the vacation of your dreams.
Here is some general information about All-Inclusive Resorts. Take a moment to read it, then see below for information about your specific resort.
With the exception of a couple of AI resorts in the United States, all all-inclusive resorts are located in other countries. For this reason, you'll need to consider the cost of airfaire when planning your vacation budget.
I tend to focus on resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean because these are closest to us and there are so many great places there to choose from!
You will need a passport. Make sure your passport is at least 6 months from expiring.
There are currently some covid-related travel guidelines. Make sure you ask me what the current guidelines are. (They are constantly changing.)
Generally speaking, with AI resorts, you get what you pay for. While you *can* find "too good to be true" pricing, you'll usally find subpar food, dated rooms, and less than stellar service at those. I will recommend resorts that are reputable AND fit your budget.
AIs are either adult only or family friendly.
Sandals and Beaches are owned by the same company. Sandals resorts are adult only while Beaches are family friendly. They are located in Saint Lucia, Jamaica, Antigua, The Bahamas, Grenada, and Barbados. I will almost always recommend a Sandals/Beaches vacation as my first choice because they are known for their outstanding service and "luxury included" vacations. They feature gourmet dining, unique bars serving premium wines and liquors, and every land and water sport, including complimentary green fees at their golf resorts and PADI certified scuba diving at most resorts. If you are planning a wedding, Sandals is the leader in Caribbean destination weddings and honeymoon packages.
There are many different room categories at Sandals and Beaches resorts. Let's chat about the one that is best for your family! One important thing to note is that room service is included for club level rooms and above. Breakfast in bed? Yes, please!
Sandals has a no-tipping policy. You are invited to put your wallet away and enjoy yourself!
If you are vising one of the Sandals or Beaches resorts in Jamaica, consider using Club Mobay at the airport for an added layer of comfort and convinence from the moment you land until you board your flight back home.
I have come to love the AM Resorts family. AM Resorts is a collection of luxury resort destinations, each with its own unique personality. Every one of their resorts includes sun-soaked beaches, elegant accomodations, a world-class spa, gourmet dining, unlimited premium drinks, and many other pampering amenities. The AM Resort collection includes Zoetry, Breathless, Secrets, Dreams, Now, Reflect, and Sunscape.
When staying at an AM Resort, I highly recommend getting a Preferred Club (PC) room. PC guests enjoy extra amenities at each resort.
