Go Green Movement: Reducing The Use of Plastic and Plastic Waste" is a student-led advocacy by HUMSS senior high school students from St. Scholastica's Academy - Bacolod. Its mission is to promote the use of eco-friendly products and discourage the use of disposable single-use plastics (e. g. plastic straws and utensils). This advocacy seeks to educate the community about proper waste disposal management (i. e. waste segregation, 3R's, etc.) and persuade people into reverting to environmentally friendly lifestyles. "Go Green Movement" envisions a sustainable and green community with socially responsible and proactive members who share a common goal to protect the well-being of the environment.

Benefits of the Project
Students properly acknowledging the environmental risks of single-use plastics.
Mobilization of Scholasticans to save, protect, and educate the community about these risks and how to prevent them.
Promoting cleaner and environmentally-safe practices as well as improving lifestyle habits that may contribute to the propagation of single-use plastic waste.
