I am learning ansible from ansible-beginner to pro by micheal heap. It seems that ansible is not supported on windows. The book suggests running ansible from a virtual machine instead. I started a VMbox using vagrant, which has ubuntu/trusty64 on it. I am successfully able to run my playbooks on it. However, I ran into an issue when creating ansible-galaxy roles.

I could not find a way to create/ initialize a role on windows. I vaguely borrowed ideas from this question How to automatically install Ansible Galaxy roles? and added the following command to my playbook create roles on windows local_action: command ansible-galaxy init sush.util --init-path roles

Hello,

I have been trying to create a protein database from RNA-seq files on the usegalaxy.org server. There are a few tools required for this workflow that are missing on the server. I tried using the EU server where the tools are present but the upload has been taking ages.

I also tried to create a local galaxy server but since I have Windows 10, I have been getting one error after another.

My last option is to try a dual boot but I wanted to check if there is an easier way of getting the tools added to the usegalaxy.org server. The tools are: 1 CustomProDB, 2.Convert gffCompare annotated GTF to BED, 3. Translate BED transcripts cDNA in 3frames or CDS, 4. bed to protein map, and others under Creating FASTA Databases mentioned here- -material/topics/proteomics/tutorials/proteogenomics-dbcreation/tutorial.html#translate-transcripts

Also, if anyone knows any other way to create a local Galaxy server on Windows 10 apart from using the dual boot method, I would appreciate the information (I have tried using python 3.6 and Ubuntu but it did not work for me).

Alternatively you can choose to be more patient with usegalaxy.eu uploads, they will finish eventually. You can also obtain a disposable linux server from e.g. AWS or other cloud provider. There is also a docker image available on the training page you shared, which you can install on Windows too I believe.

From the way you describe your issue I am however wondering if this is really what you really want to do. Setting up your own Galaxy server should in most cases not be faster than uploading your files from one Galaxy server to another, if you share your history and make all objects available (click the cog wheel to the right above your history pane to find the share history option), then you can just right click the save file icon for each dataset you want to copy to get the URL to the data and then paste it into the file uploader on usegalaxy.eu to load data directly from usegalaxy.org to usegalaxy.eu.

Step 1Open your Linux distribution from Windows (press windows key and write the name of your installed distribution). This will open a Terminal window which allows you to manage your Linux distribution exactly like on a computer with a Linux operating system installed. The files are stored on your computer and can even be accessed through Windows. Changing Linux files directly from Windows is however something you really should not do due to issues with metadata and corruption.

You'll need to get and build the versions specified in galaxy_dist/eggs.ini, so consult that file for proper versions and download URLs. The remaining eggs are required for a number of tools, as well as for some development/debugging purposes.

Galaxy's egg building script, scramble.py may or may not work for certain eggs under Windows. If not, scramble's build scripts, located at galaxy_dist/scripts/scramble/scripts/ can be used as reference for building eggs.

usegalaxy.org is supported by NIH and NSF Grants HG006620, 1661497, and 1929694. usegalaxy.eu is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research grant 031L0101C and de.NBI-epi. usegalaxy.org.au is supported by Bioplatforms Australia and the Australian Research Data Commons.

I just got my galaxy buds today and windows 10 will not control the volume of the buds. Volume control works on my oneplus 6t. When connected to my PC I can not raise or lower the volume of the buds. I tried to set up the the touch pads to raise and lower volume and it works on my phone but when connected to my PC the touch pads change back to the assistant and summons cortana.

In my original post I explained that I had done this and enabled volume control but when connected to the PC it reverts back to assistant and the volume controls within windows will not change the volume and since the touch controls revert back to assistant when connected to PC I can not control volume in any way.

I did some more investigating and windows show the head phones connecting as 2 different devices listed as Galaxy Buds Stereo and Galaxy Buds Hands-Free AG Audio. Windows will control the Hands-Free AG Audio but it is phone quality sound and very tinny. I have to switch to the Hands-Free AG Audio to change the volume then change back to the stereo to get the stereo to change to the new volume but still can not change it directly. This may be a windows driver issue but I can not find a driver on samsungs site. I can confirm that other wireless head phones work correctly with my PC including Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 and Bose QuietComfort 35 II. If I can not get these to work with my PC I will have to return them and go with another brand.

I want to use my galaxy buds on my Windows 11 PC for gaming, but sometimes when I do, there is a very noticeable input lag which basically makes the game unplayable with the buds. However, for some reason, some of my games, like Battlefield 4, cause my earbuds to automatically switch to a mode that has lower sound quality but no input delay. But then some of my other games, like Terraria or Fortnite, do not do this, so they have higher sound quality but noticeable sound delay.

We have been in touch with the customer, We explained that we don't remove blinds from the window area and that we have a form that also explains we dont remove the blinds and she signed that form. We did remove the blinds because the company she purchased the blinds from installed them directly on the window frames and in order to remove the windows the blinds had to be removed as well. After explaining this to the customer she said I didn't know that they were attached to the windows. When the new windows were installed we told her that we will not put them back up and attached them to the new window frames because that would void the window warranty. She said she will call the blind company to see if they could reinstall them and made a appointment for 9/1/22. We offered to have one of our installers come out and see if we can do something to help on 08/31/22 and after that visit she wanted to still have the blind company to look at this as well. She called me on 9/1/22 at around 11am and I was on a consultation and called her back after my meeting and left her a message that I will be in another meeting at 2 pm. After that meeting I called her at 3:56 and left a message and then again at 5:23 with no answer. I called her 9/2/22 @ 9:20AM and again no answer and also text and emailed her to call when she had a momment and still waiting to hear back from her.

By default ansible.windows.win_updates does not manage reboots, but will signal when a reboot is required with the reboot_required return value. reboot can be used to reboot the host if required in the one task.

ansible.windows.win_updates can take a significant amount of time to complete (hours, in some cases). Performance depends on many factors, including OS version, number of updates, system load, and update server load.

Beware that just after ansible.windows.win_updates reboots the system, the Windows system may not have settled yet and some base services could be in limbo. This can result in unexpected behavior. Check the examples for ways to mitigate this.

I've enabled USB debugging in development options and also have the latest version of Android Studio and the SDK, I've also installed the Android 7.0 package in Android Studio and the windows USB drivers from that, I've also reset both the phone and computer after one suggestion, one person even suggested updating the USB drivers for the phone in device manager on windows to the drivers(Android_winusb) in the SDK folder but it says it cannot find any relevant drivers, also have tried adb kill-server and adb start-server. e24fc04721
