2025 Fall Tween/Teen Co-Op Registration is Open Until Full
The GHC is governed by a Board of Directors made up of community volunteers. We adhere to all local, state and federal non-profit rules and laws. We also have a set of charity By-Laws that we follow. GHC board meetings are held quarterly or as needed.
Kathryn Myers
Hi, my name is Katy. I am the Board President and Founder of the Goffstown Homeschool Community 501(c)(3) public charity. I have spent my entire career working for non-profits and serving on volunteer boards! I started homeschooling in the summer of 2024 with my two daughters. It has been my dream to open up a Co-Op school for my own children and the larger community! I am so happy we are finally here and able to welcome families to work and teach alongside us.
I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Law from Plymouth State University and my Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of New Hampshire. I also hold several “Train the Trainer” and “Supervisory” Certificates also from UNH.
The majority of my twenty-plus years of non-profit work experience has been in the education field. I have experience in tutoring, teaching, volunteer management as well as serving as a Paraeducator and Substitute Teacher at Goffstown’s Middle School. In addition, I worked as an Educational Program Director for a non-profit at UNH as well as a Volunteer Training Manager for the FIRST Robotics Competition in Manchester (also a non-profit).
I live in Goffstown NH with my husband, two daughters, two cats and a dog. I enjoy spending time with friends and family as well as camping, reading, writing and watching psychological thrillers!
Renee Whitten
Hi, my name is Renée and I serve as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Goffstown Homeschool Community. I am here to support the group in any way I can, such as fundraisers and weekend events.
I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southern NH University and have worked at the same company for 20 years as Master Scheduler and Customer Service Manager. I serve on the Board of Directors for my company and just recently was named Corporate Secretary. I have lived in Goffstown since 2020 but am a New Hampshire native. My story is a little different from the rest of the group as “my babies” are 29 and 32, both off creating their own lives; I have self-proclaimed myself as “The Elder” of the group as some of the mothers are the same age as my daughter. When my children were growing up I did all the volunteering for cheerleading, football, French club and scouts. And now, I enjoy talking with my children as often as possible, taking my dog for walks, and riding my motorcycle. Maybe because I have already raised children, and so my perspective is different, but I think homeschooling is one of the best things you can do for your children. We are here to support you on that journey.

Karen Monasky
Hi, my name is Karen and I serve as a Board Member at Large on the Board of Directors for the Goffstown Homeschool Community. I am a retired Occupational Therapist and single mother to adult twin sons.
Education has been very important to me such that even now I read and research on a daily basis and my sons do the same. My sons attended three years of public school when I made the decision to pay for a private education. The class sizes were smaller and I had direct access to teachers. My sons thrived in this setting as they were within a Christian atmosphere that allowed them to feel safe and trust their teachers and build their faith.
I have adopted grandchildren, 5, and they are all homeschooled. Their mother is an educator and she is able to present them with activities to allow them to grow physically, mentally and spiritually using mini co-ops to supplement home activities. My grandchildren enjoy learning and soak up knowledge quickly.
I love to sing out loud! I can bring that enthusiasm to your children. Singing out loud is a lovely way to build confidence, encourage aerobic exercise, reduce stress, help you sleep and increase your immunity!
I am excited to be a part of this wonderful group of families as we learn together.
Ashley Caron
Hi, my name is Ashley and I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Goffstown Homeschool Community. I’m a proud native of Goffstown. I love this town — from its cozy coffee shop to its strong sense of community and small-town charm. I’m a mom to two wonderful children, ages 8 and 11, and I began homeschooling my oldest during COVID. He loved it so much that he’s chosen to continue every year since, and it’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
While I cherish our one-on-one learning time, I also wanted a co-op where he could grow alongside peers and enjoy a structured, social environment. GHC is exactly that — a supportive space where both kids and parents learn, connect, and thrive. I’m truly grateful to be part of this community and honored to serve on the board, where I can contribute through my background in education, marketing, and holistic nutrition to help our co-op grow and flourish.
Our Volunteer Teachers are parents who have their child(ren) enrolled in our Co-Op School! These parents are volunteering their time, energy and talents to teach our children a variety of skills! All of our GHC Lead Teachers, including our Board of Directors who serve in this role, have completed a State of NH Criminal Background Check. Protection of our children physically, emotionally and spiritually is our number one concern here at GHC. To volunteer teach for us, please complete the Volunteer Teacher Interest Form.
