** Read the approach section below!!
This study-unit is aimed at establishing and strongly widening the students' knowledge with respect to understanding core technologies, their application and the value creation made possible by such technology. While the value creation for an organization involves a network of relationships between internal and external environments, technology plays an extremely important role in improving the overall value chain of an organization. This requires a a very solid understanding of enabling technologies and respective application from a broad perspective.
VERY Important - Approach & Grading:
This course is delivered using a reverse class instruction approach. You will be asked to study and read relevant material on your own and come to class with your discussions, answers and questions. The class will be interactive - no presentations. No notes.
YOUR OWN LAPTOP is highly recommended - you will be presenting
You will also need to contribute to the discussion questions (very short!) via online forms. These will be provided to you before the lecture and you will be expected to submit them and come prepare for the lecture with short (4/5 slides) simple presentations (bullet form). I will select those who will need to present during the lecture.
I will take your participation (class room and/or channel presence, participation and discussion questions) into consideration for any assignment, performance & grading, more specifically:
Assignment - 40%
Classroom attendance - 30%
Discussion questions and participation - 30 %
Assignments will be presented later on during the semester.
