At auditions, please bring a prepared 16-32 bar cut to be performed with an accompanist.
You will also learn a brief selection and dance from the show.
Casting Breakdown:
Note: Our cast will develop their own characters, and we will assign songs and lines as best suit the character and actor. These are guidelines.
Jesus - the leader; builds community. Warm, strong, charismatic, funny. Lyrical, expressive voice with strong rock belt. Tenor.
John The Baptist/Judas: Charismatic, expressive. Strong singer. Baritone.
Gilmer: The comedienne; mezzo-soprano.
Peggy: Shy, earthy. Mezzo/alto
Sonia: Sassy. Alto.
Robin: Down-to-earth. Mezzo-soprano.
Joanne: Bright & confident. Soprano.
Lamar: Innocent & Kind. Tenor.
Herb: The class clown. Baritone
