As chief visioneer of Goddess Software since 2003, Vanessa Paugh utilized her many years of software development experience to create the I am the Bride Flash game series. Dr. Paugh started developing iOS apps in 2009, including iGown, Pride And Prejudice RPG and Closets And Connections game. She is currently working on a new game in Unity3D.

Formerly a senior system engineer at EDS for five years, Dr. Paugh also worked with many other companies in different capacities including AT&T Bell Labs, Lockheed at NASA and Westwave Communications. As a passionate teacher, she has lectured on iOS development at Collin College and web development at UT Dallas.

Dr. Paugh brings an extensive educational background to her research on artificial personality. Her academic achievements include a Doctor of Philosophy in Aesthetic Studies and a Masters of Fine Arts in Arts and Technology from the University of Texas at Dallas. She also earned a Masters of Science in Engineering from Prairie View A&M University and a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering from the University of Delaware.

Aiming to enhance the experience of women and girls in computer gaming, Dr. Paugh spoke to the news media at the Austin Women's Game Conference in October 2004, to Delta Sky Magazine in January 2009 and to Smith Micro Blog in 2015.
