GOALS
Ten Point Goals
1. To provide a supportive and inclusive work environment for African American's animators and storytellers throughout the diaspora;
2. To develop and produce high-quality animation content that reflects the diversity and experiences of the African American and diaspora;
3. To offer educational and professional development opportunities for African American and African diaspora animators, including workshops, mentorship programs, and networking events;
4. To collaborate with partners and organizations that share our mission and values, in order to amplify the impact of our work;
5. To create and distribute animation content that addresses important social, political, and cultural issues, and sheds light on the experiences of African Americans and the African diaspora;
6. To inspire and educate young people, particularly those from underrepresented communities, to pursue careers in animation and storytelling;
7. To promote diversity and representation within the animation industry, and to challenge negative stereotypes and prejudices through our work;
8. To use animation as a tool for healing and empowerment, and to create a space where people can connect, reflect, and grow;
9. To support and promote independent African American animators, and to provide resources and opportunities for them to showcase their work; and finally,
1o. To be a leader in the animation industry, and to demonstrate the power of animation as a tool for growth, education, and positive change for African Americans and the wider Pan-African community.
