gocompare Insurance is built to help you understand insurance types, compare coverage concepts, and explore educational content with a simple, focused experience. We designed this app so you can browse categories, sample comparison guidance, search topics, and read guides without creating an account, without signing in, and without sharing your personal contact details with us. Protecting your privacy is a core principle of this product.

This is an independent informational application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any insurance company, comparison platform, broker, or insurance provider.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you as an app user:

No sign-up, login, OTP verification, email verification, social login, or registration is ever required to use the app. This app does not provide real insurance quotes, sell policies, or process payments.

3. Information Stored On Your Device

To power your experience, gocompare Insurance stores the following locally on your device only (SharedPreferences):

Insurance categories, guides, articles, FAQs, and illustrative comparison examples are provided as built-in educational content within the app. Search queries you type are handled in memory during your session and are not saved as a personal profile on our servers.

This information is not uploaded to our servers and is not linked to your identity as an app user.

4. App Content and Network Use

gocompare Insurance includes built-in insurance information so you can browse categories, tips, and guides immediately without an account.

An internet connection is not required to use the core features of this app. All main educational content works offline on your device.

If you choose to contact us by email from the Contact screen, your device opens your email app — we do not receive any message unless you send it yourself.

Illustrative sample comparisons shown in the app are for educational purposes only and are not real quotes from insurers.

5. Sharing Content From Your Device

If you use your device's standard share, email, or screen tools outside this app, that action is handled by your device and chosen apps — we do not receive copies of shared content unless you explicitly send it to us (for example, by emailing our support address).

6. Advertising

gocompare Insurance uses Google AdMob to display banner and full-screen (interstitial) advertisements in the app. Google may collect and use device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID), IP address, and similar technical data to deliver, measure, and personalize ads according to Google's policies.

You can reset or limit ad personalization from your Android device settings (Google → Ads).

7. Other Third-Party Services

Aside from Google AdMob for advertising, this app does not integrate third-party analytics, crash reporting, social login, or cloud data sync services. Built-in content is stored in the app package on your device.

8. Cookies and Tracking

The app itself does not use browser cookies. Aside from advertising data processed by Google AdMob, we do not operate cross-app tracking, behavioral analytics, or profiling SDKs of our own.

9. Network and Permissions

The app is designed to work without requesting sensitive device permissions. We do not request access to contacts, photos, camera, calendar, SMS, microphone, biometric authentication, or precise location.

There is no sign-in or account permission prompt when you open the app. Optional email contact uses your device's own email application when you tap the support link.

10. Data Security

Because we do not collect personal information or account credentials from you as an app user, there is no personal login profile that can be compromised on our servers. Your theme preference remains on your device unless you clear app storage.

App preferences are stored using SharedPreferences on your device. You can clear all locally stored data at any time through your device settings.

11. Children's Privacy

This app is intended for general audiences who want to learn about insurance concepts and comparison guidance. It does not require personal information from children or adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

12. Your Choices and Rights

Because we do not collect identifying information about you as an app user, there is no personal account or profile to delete on our side. You can fully reset your app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage:

Settings → Apps → gocompare Insurance → Storage → Clear storage

Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored theme preferences.

13. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be available within the app on this screen. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
