Effective date: 8 October 2026
Gobble Quest ("the game") is made by Game Shape ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the game uses, why, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, email gameshape2@gmail.com.
No account, no sign-up, and we never ask for your name, email, phone number or location.
No ads and no in-app purchases.
Online play uses an anonymous ID so players can be matched.
Play stats are off unless you say yes, and you can turn them off at any time.
Everything else (your settings and saved choices) stays on your phone.
The game saves the following on your device only. It is never sent to us:
your settings (music, sound effects, vibration, reduced motion);
the names you type for local games, your chosen characters and world;
simple progress, such as how many games you've won and whether you've seen How to Play.
Uninstalling the game removes all of it.
Online matches (Quick Match and private rooms) use Unity Gaming Services from Unity Technologies:
Anonymous sign-in (Unity Authentication): when you first play online, the game signs in anonymously and receives a random player ID. It isn't linked to your name, email or Google account. It is used to match you with an opponent, keep you in your room and reconnect you if your connection drops.
Matchmaking and connection (Unity Lobby, Matchmaker and Relay): while you play online, Unity's servers pass the moves between the two phones. Like any internet service, they see your device's IP address to make the connection.
What your opponent sees: only your chosen character and its name (for example "Mango") and your moves. Nothing you type is sent.
If you never play online, none of this happens.
The first time you open the game, it asks: "Help improve Gobble Quest?" Only if you agree does it send anonymous play statistics through Unity Analytics:
how games go: game mode, result, number of moves, length, world and computer difficulty; games left unfinished; how long online searches take;
standard app usage: sessions, session length and how often the game is opened;
basic device information: device model, operating system, language and approximate country (worked out from the IP address);
anonymous IDs that Unity Analytics creates for the install.
We use these statistics only to see how the game is played and to make it better. They aren't used for advertising, and they aren't sold. You can change your answer at any time in Settings › Share play stats. Turning it off stops all collection from that moment.
After you've won a few games, the game may show Google Play's own "rate this app" card. Google Play handles that card under Google's privacy policy; the game never sees your rating or review.
These companies process the data described above for us, under their own privacy policies:
Unity Technologies (Unity Gaming Services, Unity Analytics): https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
Google (Google Play, In-App Review): https://policies.google.com/privacy
We don't share information with anyone else, and we don't sell it.
Data on your phone is deleted when you uninstall the game.
The anonymous online ID and play stats aren't linked to who you are, so we can't look up one person's data from their name or email. Unity keeps them under its own retention rules and deletes them over time. Reinstalling the game starts a new anonymous ID.
To ask about your data or request its deletion, email gameshape2@gmail.com. We'll help as far as we're able to identify the data.
Connections to Unity's services are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but the game keeps very little information, and none of it identifies you.
The game is suitable for all ages. It doesn't ask for personal information, and play stats are only sent with permission. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
If the game starts using information differently, we'll update this page and change the effective date at the top.
