Your friends can be goats too! Goat Simulator 3 has 4 player co-op, locally or online. Travel through the world of San Angora together, cause cooperative mischief aplenty, compete in 7 fun multiplayer mini-games... and then not be friends anymore.

You should notice a spiral tower with a fence surrounding its base, not far from where you spawn. Climb those stairs to the top floor to arrive in a throne room. You can stand on the throne to be acknowledged as the Goat King. As the king, you wear a skull mask and you can press the Action button to produce goats whenever you like.

Look for a glowing red pentagram, located near one of the town's corners. It's positioned next to the electrical tower that you can see off to the far left, if you stand near the base of the water slides at the community pool. Once you place five human or goat bodies on the pentagram, you will become the Devil Goat. Note that if you're looking to expedite the process, you can become the Goat King and quickly summon goats to the desired spot. When you become the Devil Goat, it's possible to fly if you summon a Black Hole and enter Rag Doll mode.

This happens since the last Title Update, that changes the title interface to that map of all the goat areas, has been released along with the PAYDAY DLC. I was hoping that this would be fixed when the current Title Update has been released along with the "Waste of Space" expansion, but it didn't.

You play the same protagonist known as Pilgor, a female goat up to no good and famous for her adventures in Goat Simulator. The intro kicks off with a direct spin off on the famous Skyrim intro that has been meme-ed into oblivion. Setting up any expectations for the rest of the game.

Basically this farmer bought you and your (up to three) friends to piggyback on your fame and become wealthy and famous. He puts you in a small field surrounded by a simple wooden fence and a Goat Tower on the small hill. This Goat Tower is the gate to the goat castle and your seat of power.

The intro with its heavy skyrim influence dialogue and scene really set the bar for the rest of the game. Not only Skyrim is heavily mentioned, but also games like CSGO, Call of Duty, Star Wars, Wolfenstein, and many more. Each with their own goatified item or quest for you to discover and complete.

The goal of Goat Simulator is improving your Goat Castle and collecting more items to goof around with. As you complete challenges, quests and instincts you also gain the currency to buy more cosmetics, unlock playable characters and skins for those you have unlocked. Become the unique goat you always wanted to be.

The moment the farmer dropped you off his cart all the land now belongs to Pilgor the goat queen. Every building, mountain and powerline is hers to lick and headbutt. And it truly is yours to explore and discover the secrets it holds. Some quests are a marker on your map but others will require some witty thinking and connecting dots to get the hidden completion.

You can check out the brief trailer above, in which a goat becomes acquainted with an Xbox One. Coffee Stain launched Goat Simulator on Windows PC in April 2014, and on Linux and Mac in June. For more, check out our article on the game's bonkers backstory: It takes place in Purgatory.

Gameplay-wise, Goat Simulator is all about causing as much destruction as you possibly can as a goat. It has been compared to an old-school skating game, except instead of being a skater, you're a goat, and instead of doing tricks, you wreck stuff. Destroy things with style, such as doing a backflip while headbutting a bucket through a window, and you'll earn even more points! Or you could just give Steam Workshop a spin and create your own goats, levels, missions, and more! When it comes to goats, not even the sky is the limit, as you can probably just bug through it and crash the game.

The original Goat Simulator, developed by Coffee Stain Studios, launched back in 2014, delivering a daft blast of physics-based nonsense in which players took control of a goat, causing chaos, inflicting damage, and accruing points across an open-world map.

Its goat-themed mayhem struck a chord and the game went on to sell "millions" of copies, in turn convincing Coffee Stain that a sequel was required. Goat Simulator 3 (because sequential numbering be damned) was announced earlier this year, promising, among other things, a new sandbox world known as San Angora, full of quests, collectibles, and secrets.

Four-play co-op is supported both online and locally (there are also seven multiplayer mini-games), goats can be customised with over 300 different gear options, and there's a new twist in that players can harness the power of four elements - fire, electricity, oil, and alien goo - in their quest for chaos.

Online multiplayer is not available at the same time while playing local co-op, so players must choose to either play online with friends or with friends in person, not both. Crossplay is not currently supported, making online multiplayer limited to a particular platform. Goat Simulator 3 is currently available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Microsoft Windows. When playing within the open world during multiplayer mode, all progress made on the goat castle will only benefit the host player, meaning online friends will not make progress on their own castle. However, any quests completed will be saved, so players can still be productive toward goals while playing with friends.

On the Xbox One side of things, Goat Simulator can be picked up for free from June 1-June 30. This silly platformer, which normally runs for $9.99, tasks the player with... being a goat. The goat runs, jumps, and sticks its tongue to things. ff782bc1db
