Goat Debate ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Goat Debate mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

a) Anonymous Account Information When you first open the App, an anonymous account is automatically created using Firebase Authentication. This account is identified by a randomly generated anonymous user ID. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.

b) User-Generated Content When you use the App, you may create content including:

• Username (chosen by you, does not need to be your real name)

• Posts and comments

• Photos uploaded to the App

• Team selection (Messi or Ronaldo)

• Quiz answers and vote selections

c) Device Information We may collect non-personal device information such as:

• Device type and operating system version

• App version

• Crash logs and diagnostics (for improving app stability)

d) Advertising Data Our advertising partners may collect certain data for serving relevant ads. This includes:

• Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android)

• General interaction data with ads (impressions, clicks)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the App functionality

• Display your posts, comments, and profile to other users

• Calculate team scores and leaderboard rankings

• Serve advertisements through Google AdMob

• Improve app performance and fix bugs

• Send local reminder notifications (if you grant permission)

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services that may collect information:

a) Google Firebase

• Firebase Authentication (anonymous sign-in)

• Cloud Firestore (data storage)

• Serves banner, interstitial, and rewarded video advertisements

c) TensorFlow (On-Device)

• Used for AI-powered image classification to verify football-related content

• Image processing happens entirely on your device

• No images are sent to external AI services for classification

4. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase servers

• Photos are stored on Firebase Storage with secure access controls

• We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data

• Anonymous authentication means your account cannot be traced to your real identity

5. Data Retention

• Your account data is retained as long as you use the App

• You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us

• Uninstalling the App will make your anonymous account inaccessible, but data may remain on our servers until deletion is requested

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. Advertising

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob, including:

• Banner ads

• Interstitial (full-screen) ads

• Rewarded video ads (optional, user-initiated)

You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings:

• iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking

• Android: Settings > Google > Ads

8. Notifications

The App may send local reminder notifications to encourage you to return. These notifications are:

• Scheduled locally on your device

• Not push notifications from a server

• Can be disabled in your device notification settings

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access any data we hold about you

• Request deletion of your account and data

• Opt out of personalized advertising

• Disable notifications through device settings

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.
