Object Control

Catch

ANNUAL GOAL: Following a video model, STUDENT will catch a TYPE ball, demonstrating the following 3 critical elements: 1. Preparation phase where hands are in front of the body and elbows flexed, 2. Eyes track ball while moving 3. Ball is caught by hands only, on 4/5 trials on 2/3 days measured quarterly. 

Underhand Throw

ANNUAL GOAL: Following a video model, STUDENT will underhand throw a TYPE ball, demonstrating the following 3 critical elements: 1. Bring ball back, 2. Step with opposition, 3. Underarm swing and release, on 4/5 trials on 3/4 days measured quarterly.

Overhand Throw

ANNUAL GOAL: Following a video model, STUDENT will overhand throw a TYPE ball, demonstrating the following 3 critical elements: 1. Non throwing side of body facing target, 2. Step forward with opposite foot, 3. Throwing arm swings over head and throwing hand follows through after the ball release, on 4/5 trials on 3/4 days measured quarterly. 

ANNUAL GOAL: Following a video model, STUDENT will roll a TYPE ball along the ground, demonstrating the following 3 critical elements: 1. Step with opposition, 2. Knee to ground, 3. Underarm swing, on 4/5 trials on 3/4 days measured quarterly.


One hand Stationary Dribble

ANNUAL GOAL: Following a video model, STUDENT will dribble a TYPE ball in a stationary position, demonstrating the following 3 critical elements: 1. feet apart, 2. contact ball with finger pads, 3. ball bounces to waist level , on 4/5 trials on 3/4 days measured quarterly.


Two Hand strike of stationary ball

ANNUAL GOAL: Following a video model, STUDENT will use a bat to strike a TYPE ball from a tee, demonstrating the following 4 critical elements: 1. Side to target, 2. Two hand grip, 3. Swing begins on shoulder, 4. Makes contact and follows through, on 4/5 trials on 3/4 days measured quarterly.


Locomotor

ANNUAL GOAL: Following a video model, STUDENT will jump forward a distance of XX, demonstrating the following 3 critical elements: 1. Feet together on take off and landing, 2. 45 degree bend at knee before jumping, 3. Uses arms for forward momentum, on 4/5 trials on 3/4 days measured quarterly.


ANNUAL GOAL: Following a video model, STUDENT will hop on each foot 3 times, demonstrating the following 3 critical elements: 1. Lift one leg and balance, 2. Taking off and landing on one foot , 3. Uses arms for balance, on 4/5 trials on 3/4 days measured quarterly. 

ANNUAL GOAL: Following a video model, STUDENT will skip a distance of 20ft, demonstrating the following critical elements: 1. a step forward followed by a hop on the same foot, 2. arms flexed and move in opposition to legs to produce force, 3. completes at least 4 continuous rhythmical alternating skips on 4/5 trials on 3/4 days measured quarterly.

Fitness

Curl Ups

ANNUAL GOAL: STUDENT will perform 14 curl ups in one minute, using only their abdominal muscles on 3/4 days ,measured quarterly. 

Shoulder Taps

ANNUAL GOAL: STUDENT will perform 26 shoulder taps in a push up position held for 50 seconds on 3/4 day, measured quarterly. 

STraight Arm Plank Hold

ANNUAL Goal: STUDENT will hold a straight body plank by demonstrating 1. hands underneath shoulders, 2. straight arms and body, 3. feet placed behind and together for (300% of baseline) seconds without lowering or raising his hips on 2 out of 3 occasions, measured quarterly.  

Routine

Dynamic Warm Up

ANNUAL GOAL: STUDENT will independently stay on the outside of the cones, move in the correct direction, and move continuously for 5 minutes of a dynamic warm up routine, on 3 out of 4 days measured quarterly.

Transition to Spot

ANNUAL GOAL: STUDENT will independently transition to a designated poly spot from a station or activity within 20 seconds on 3 out 4 opportunities presented each quarter.

Concepts

Muscles

ANNUAL GOAL: STUDENT will correctly identify 6/7 muscles, presented with  4 answer choices, on 3 out of 4 days, measured  quarterly. 

GOAL: Student will identify 4 different bones in the human body by either pointing to their own body or picture of the bone with 75% accuracy on 3 out of 4 days measured.

5 Comps of Fitness

ANNUAL GOAL: STUDENT will answer correctly 8/10 questions presented in random order about the 5 components of fitness, on 3 out of 4 days measured quarterly.

Imitation of Poses

ANNUAL GOAL: When provided with a video model, STUDENT will imitate 4/5 body poses accurately on 3/4 days measured quarterly.


Sport

Volleyball Serve

ANNUAL Goal: STUDENT will underhand serve a TYPE ball, demonstrating the following critical elements: 1. face the target, 2. hold ball with non-striking hand, 3. step in opposition, 4. striking hand swings back, and 5. follow through, on 4 out of 5 trials, 3 out of 4 occasions measured quarterly.


Basketball Dribble

ANNUAL Goal: STUDENT will stationary dribble a TYPE ball, # times in succession, demonstrating the following critical elements: 1. finger pads, 2. push down, 3. waist level, 4. control (i.e. keep it in personal space), on 3 out of 4 trials, 2 out of 3 occasions measured quarterly.


Baseball Strike from Tee

ANNUAL GOAL: Following a video model, STUDENT will use a bat to strike a TYPE ball from a tee, demonstrating the following 4 critical elements: 1. Side to target, 2. Two hand grip, 3. Swing begins on shoulder, 4. Makes contact and follows through, on 4/5 trials on 3/4 days measured quarterly.
