Today, with pride, we present the Goalball Academy, an EGCA project that we want to make the entire goalball universe.

The Goalball Academy will be our knowledge factory, the sharing of knowledge, it will be our training tool, it will be the engine of construction or development of the sport.

The Masterclass where we regularly conduct online classes and online seminars on topics and tools for all sportsmen, be they athletes, coaches, referees and directors.

Goalball Scientific Library: where in partnership with universities, a panel of teachers who evaluate or study scientific documents that are published by all the goalball agents who contributed.

Executive Director of EGCA, Márcia Ferreira is Director of the Goalball Academy. She is a person with university studies on goalball and her master's thesis on goalball training in high performance. But it will have all the support of the EGCA executive board.

I would also like to describe the logo of the Goalball Academy, it is a ball built by triangles formed by straight blue lines where the points to be touched are illuminated time and time again. And as everything has a symbolism, I want to explain: a ball is what makes it vibrate during the game of goalball; lines represent straightness and character; the triangles represent the three pillars of wisdom (understanding, reflection and awareness). The points where they touch as straight lines represent the meeting of groups and knowledge sharing and finally the blue that represents a flag in our Europe open to the world.
