IMPORTANT NOTES - READ CAREFULLY:

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU MARK YOUR BALL! 

Make sure that you fill out your complete scorecard including gross, net, and Stableford points on 3 different lines (and total each line).  Please also make sure that your card is signed by the scorekeeper and player - failure to do these things will result in a disqualification. 

Make sure that you total up your Stableford points - failure to do so will result in a disqualification. We prefer that players also total their gross and net stroke play scores - but if you take an X on a hole, then also put an X for your total in this case.

Double check your scores! We had a lot of erroneous cards last year that led to people not getting the points that they deserved or that resulted in disqualification.  Don't let it happen to you!

RULES OVERVIEW:

• GENERAL

  • We play in all weather, unless the course is officially closed.  If you commit to play on Tuesday, and do not show, you will be fined $50 and you will not be eligible to play until that fine is paid.

  • Ball is played where it lies unless otherwise communicated by committee prior to event.

  • All putts must be holed out, no gimmies. 

  • Any rulings or discrepancies MUST be brought to a committee member BEFORE you leave the course.

  • If a ball is hit into fescue grass on the tree-lined holes, we are playing these areas as a lateral hazards.

    • Drop at the Point of Entry within two club lengths 

    • Assess a one stroke penalty.

    • Continue play

• • Balls hit over Boundary Fences are considered Out of Bounds. These are not lateral hazards and should be played per the PGA rules.

• SCORING

  • PLEASE, if you plan to participate in birdies and par 3’s, see your fee to the starter prior to teeing off. If you can’t find the starter, ask someone. Once teed off, you cannot participate.

  • Scorecards must be signed and attested, then turned in.

  • INCORRECT OR INCOMPLETE SCORECARDS WILL BE IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • Birdies on the Par 3’s.  Hole in One takes all.  Write your birdies on the pad provided.  

  • Remember to mark / circle any gross birdies on the scoring poster for any par 3’s, or you will not be awarded merit.

  • There will be closest to the pin competitions on all par 3 holes.

• ETIQUETTE

  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your tee time.  If you miss it, you must catch up to your foursome on the course…you will NOT be moved to a later group and you will receive no points for holes missed.

  • Slow play will NOT be tolerated; it is your job to maintain pace of play. 

  • Cell phones MUST be put to silent and may not be used during play unless for GPS purposes. 

  • No denim jeans will be allowed at any Goal Post Outing.  Please always wear proper golf attire.

President's Cup Special Rules

This is a 27 hole stroke play event.  You must count ALL strokes on every hole.  If you pick up on any hole, you can place it back down with a one shot penalty so long as you are still on the hole.  If you pick up and proceed to the next hole, you are disqualified from the President's cup.  You can still add up your Stableford points for the end of season overall point total.

There is a local rule on the score card that says if you are in wood chips that is also a flower bed, you can take relief without penalty.  This rule applies to our tournament as well (there has to be consensus with your playing partners that you are indeed in the flower bed). If you are in wood chips that is not a flower bed, you have a choice to play it or take relief with a one shot penalty.
