GO SpeedTest Privacy Policy
GO SpeedTest by devayu labs
Effective date: July 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GO SpeedTest (package name app.gospeedtest) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the application. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" mean devayu labs.
GO SpeedTest is a network speed testing app. It measures latency, jitter, download speed, upload speed, network details, server details, and related test results.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide voluntarily
If you contact us for support, feedback, bug reports, privacy requests, or subscription help, we may receive your name, email address, and any information you choose to include in your message.
Speed test and network information
When you run a speed test, the app may process and save test details on your device, including:
- Ping, jitter, download speed, upload speed, test status, and test time.
- Network label, Wi-Fi name (SSID) when available, Wi-Fi or mobile network state, and connection type.
- Test server host, city, country, latitude, and longitude when available from the testing service.
- Your device's last known location, if you grant location permission, to mark approximate client location in saved result maps.
Device, diagnostics, and usage information
Third-party services used by the app may process non-personal or pseudonymous data such as device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, diagnostics, performance data, app interactions, advertising identifiers, and consent status.
Purchase and subscription information
If you buy or restore a subscription, the app and Google Play Billing may process product IDs, purchase status, subscription status, expiry time, and related billing information. The app may also store subscription status locally.
2. Permissions Used by the App
Internet access
The app uses internet access to run speed tests, connect to test servers, load ads, and use analytics and crash reporting.
Network state and Wi-Fi state
The app uses network state and Wi-Fi state access to detect connection type, show network status, display the Wi-Fi name (SSID) when available, and label test results.
Location access
The app may request location permission. Android requires location permission for apps to access the current Wi-Fi name (SSID). If you grant permission, the app can display the Wi-Fi name when available and use your last known location to mark client location on saved result maps. You can deny or revoke location permission in Android settings.
Billing access
The app uses Google Play Billing to offer and manage an optional subscription that removes ads. All speed test and network tools are available for free.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected or processed information to:
1. Run latency, download, and upload speed tests.
2. Display current network, server, and result details.
3. Save and show your local test history.
4. Provide network, server, and saved result context.
5. Show ads, manage ad consent, and reduce invalid ad activity.
6. Analyze app performance, crashes, diagnostics, and stability.
7. Process purchases and restore the optional ad-removal subscription.
8. Respond to support, privacy, billing, and feedback requests.
4. Local Storage and Result History
Saved speed test results are stored locally on your device in the app database. Saved results may include speed metrics, network labels, server details, client location coordinates if available, and test timestamps.
You can remove local data by clearing app storage, uninstalling the app, or using any delete/retention controls provided by the app. If your device backup is enabled, Android or Google backup systems may include app data according to your device and Google account settings.
5. Third-Party Services
The app uses third-party services to provide speed testing, ads, analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring, and billing. These services may process data according to their own privacy policies.
