نحتفي بهذا الأسبوع بإنجازات فريق الألعاب البارالمبية الإماراتي، الذي جعل الأمة برمتها تفخر به، حيث جسدوا قيم هويتي التي نعززها لدى طلبتنا. وعلى سبيل المثال لا الحصر للمؤهلات والرياضيين، نود ذكر عبد الله الأرياني ومحمد القايض الحمادي اللذان أظهرا عملًا جادًا، وطموحًا جبارًا، ومرونة كبيرة، وتميز فريد، وقيم أخرى جليلة نسعى جاهدين لغرسها بنفوس طلبتنا بكل يوم من خلال منهاجنا التعليمي الثري والفعال.
وقد أكملنا أسبوعنا الثاني من هذا العام الدراسي الجديد، ويسعدنا رؤية سرعة استقرار طلبتنا بالأعمال الروتينية الجديدة، وتكيفهم مع المتطلبات الجديدة لتحدياتهم الجديدة المثيرة. كما استند الطلبة إلى روتينهم الخاص بالقراءة ERIC للاحتفال باليوم الدولي لمحو الأمية، ويتم عرض أعمال الطلبة الفريدة والمدهشة بجميع أرجاء المدرسة، وبدأت التفاعلات مع طلبة المرحلة الثانوية لضمان استعدادهم وجاهزيتهم للبناء على النجاح المذهل الذي حققوه في اختبارات هذا الصيف.
ونتطلع بالأسبوع المقبل إلى بداية عمليات اختيار القيادة الطلابية، حيث سيتسنى للطلبة الاضطلاع بمناصب رسمية وتحمل المسؤولية فيما يتعلق بتشكيل الاتجاه الاستراتيجي للمدرسة. كما سنزود أولياء الأمور والطلبة بالمعلومات الخاصة بأنشطتنا اللامنهجية المقدمة بهذا العام. وعلاوة على ذلك، نحن نتطلع إلى التحدث مع أولياء الأمور بورشة أولياء الأمور الخاصة بتدريس اللغة العربية بالمرحلة الأساسية، وجلساتنا التعريفية لأولياء الأمور الجدد.

This week we celebrate the achievements of the UAE Paralympics Team who made the nation proud and who have epitomized the HAWIATEE values that we promote with our students. To name just a few of these qualities, athletes such as Abdullah Alaryani and Mohamed Al Qayed Al Hammadi, have demonstrated: Hard Work; Ambition; Agility and Excellence, values that we strive to instill in our students every day through our rich and dynamic curriculum.
We have completed our second week of the academic year and it is delightful to see how quickly our students have settled in to new routines and have adapted to the new demands of their exciting new challenges. Students have built on their ERIC reading routines marking International Literacy Day, stunning displays of students’ work are appearing throughout the school, and interventions have started with senior students to ensure that they are prepared and ready to build on the fantastic exam success enjoyed this summer.
We now look forward next week to the start of student leadership selection processes where students will have the opportunity to take on formal positions of responsibility in relation to shaping the strategic direction of the school. Parents and students will also be provided with information regarding our exciting Extra-Curricular Activity (ECA) offer this year. In addition, we look forward to speaking to Parents at our Parent Workshop for Teaching Arabic in Primary and our New Parent Induction Session.
I would like to express my most sincere gratitude to parents for all the incredible support shown at the start of term and a particularly huge thanks for your understanding and patience as we work to improve the travel experience for our families on the way to and from school.

إنزال واصطحاب الطلبة: نتوجه إلى جميع أولياء أمورنا بجزيل الشكر على دعمكم وتنسيقكم معنا خلال تحسيننا لأنظمة إنزال واصطحاب الطلبة. فمن المهم أن نبقي على أعلى مستويات الكياسة المشتركة حيث أننا نعمل معًا بالشراكة لإدارة الكثافة المرورية داخل محيط مدرستنا وبالمنطقة المحلية. كما سنستمر في موافاة أولياء الأمور بآخر المستجدات من خلال مراسلاتنا المنتظمة. وعلى وجه الخصوص، يتعين على أولياء الأمور القيام بما يلي:
- إكمال استبياننا المدرسي الوارد أدناه لأولياء الأمور والخاص بالرحلة إلى/ من المدرسة.
- يرجى العلم بأن خيار اصطحاب الأطفال بوقت مبكر في تمام الساعة 2:00م ما زال متاحًا لطلبة الروضة الثانية والمرحلة الأساسية. وستستمر الأنشطة التعلمية بالفصول لكافة الطلبة الآخرين حتى الساعة 2:30م.
- الوصول بالموعد المحدد في جدول مواعيد إنزال واصطحاب الطلبة.
- إنزال واصطحاب الطلبة في أسرع وقت ممكن للسمح لأولياء الأمور الآخرين بدخول موقف صف السيارات.
الجلسات التعريفية لأولياء الأمور الجدد: ستُعقد جلسة تعريفية لأولياء الأمور الجدد بيوم الأربعاء الموافق 15 سبتمبر، في تمام الساعة 10:00ص. وستكون هذه الجلسة مباشرة على تطبيق مايكروسوفت تيمز. ونحن نحث كل أولياء أمور الطلبة المنضمين إلى مدرستنا حديثًا بهذا الفصل الدراسي على حضور هذه الجلسة. على أن نرسل لكم المزيد من التفاصيل ببداية الأسبوع المقبل.
ورشة أولياء الأمور (اللغة العربية بالمرحلة الأساسية): ستُعقد ورشة أولياء الأمور التي تلقي الضوء على تعلم اللغة العربية بالمرحلة الأساسية بيوم الثلاثاء الموافق 14 سبتمبر، من الساعة 10:30ص وحتى الساعة 11:30ص. وندعو كل ـأولياء أمور المرحلة الأساسية الدارسين للغة العربية أ لحضور هذه الورشة. على أن نرسل إليكم المزيد من التفاصيل، بما في ذلك المعلومات الخاصة بورشة اللغة العربية ب، ببداية الأسبوع المقبل.
شارات أولياء الأمور/ الأوصياء: ونذكر أولياء الأمور/ مقدمي الخدمة الذين يأتون إلى المدرسة بارتداء شارة "ولي الأمر" الصفراء بكل الأوقات. وفي حال عدم توفر هذه الشارة معكم عند الحضور، سيتعين عليكم تعريف أنفسكم لموظفي الأمن المدرسي، وسيقومون بدورهم في إصدار الملصق الأخضر "للزوار".
تقييمات القراءة بالمرحلة الأساسية: سيكمل طلبتنا بالمرحلة الأساسية في الأسبوع المقبل تقييم مستقل للقراءة، وهو التقييم الذي سيُستخدم من قبل المعلمين للقيام بالتخطيط وتحديد النواحي التي تحتاج إلى تطوير وتنمية لدى الطلبة. وسيخضع المتعلمون بالحرم المدرسي في السنة الثانية – السادسة إلى تقييمات NGRT المعتمدة من قبل هيئة المعرفة والتنمية البشرية. ويرجى الاطلاع على المزيد من التفاصيل أدناه.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up: Thank you to all parents for your support and cooperation as we improve our Drop-Off and Pick-Up systems. It is important that we maintain high levels of collective courtesy as we work in partnership to manage the high volumes of traffic within our school and in the wider local area. Note that our optional early 2.00pm collection continues to be available for FS2 and Primary Students (Sunday - Wednesday). Class learning activities continue for all other students until 2.30pm.
Arrive in their dedicated time windows at both drop-off and pick-up times
Drop off and pick up children as promptly as possible to allow other parents to access the car park
New Parent Induction Session: A New Parent Induction Session will be held on Wednesday 15th September at 10.00am. The session will be live on Microsoft Teams. All parents of new students joining this term are encouraged to attend. Further details will be sent at the start of next week.
Parent Workshop (Primary Arabic): A Parent Workshop focused on Primary Arabic Learning will be held on Tuesday September 14th 2021, from 10:30 – 11:30. All parents of Primary Arabic A students are invited to attend. Further details, including information about our Arabic B workshop will be sent at the start of next week.
Parent/Guardian Lanyards: Please remember that any parent or caregiver who comes to the school is required to wear the yellow “parent” lanyard at all times. If you do not have the lanyard, please have your Emirates ID to hand as you will be required to identify yourself to security, who will issue you with a green “visitor” sticker.
Primary Reading Assessments: Next week our Primary students will complete an independent reading assessment, which will be used by the teachers to inform planning and identify areas for development for each student. Please see below for more detail.
CAT4 Assessments: From Sunday 12th September, new students and students in certain year groups will start to complete CAT4 assessments to support their teachers in establishing learning needs and potential. More details will be provided by leaders and teachers in due course for students taking the assessments.

نشكركم على تفهمكم ودعمكم لنا وتنسيقكم معنا ببداية الفصل الدراسي، فيما نحن مستمرون بتقييم وتحسين أنظمتنا لإنزال واصطحاب الطلبة. ونحن على دراية تامة بالتحديات الكبيرة والعديدة التي يواجهها أولياء أمورنا فيما يتعلق بحركة المرور المحلية، كما أننا على تواصل مع المدارس المحلية وهيئة الطرق والمواصلات وشرطة دبي لأجل إيجاد حلول مستدامة لهذه المسألة. ومن أجل دعم عملنا مع المنظمات الشريكة، ولأجل إجراء التحسينات المتسمرة بترتيباتنا الخاصة بإنزال واصطحاب الطلبة، نرجو من كل أولياء أمورنا إكمال الاستبيان المدرسي لأولياء الأمور والخاص بالرحلة إلى/ من المدرسة.
Thank you for your ongoing support, cooperation and understanding as we constantly evaluate and improve our drop-off and pick-up systems. We are very aware of the many challenges that our parents are facing in relation to local traffic and we are in contact with local schools, the RTA and Dubai Police to develop sustainable solutions. To support our work with our partner organizations and the ongoing improvement of our drop-off and pick-up arrangements, we would encourage all parents to complete our School Traffic Parent Survey.

أطلق طلبة المرحلة الأساسية موضوعهم WOW، والذي يدور حول Big Question بالفصل الدراسي الأول. وقد استمتع معلمونا بالتخطيط لهذه الفعالية، وإثارة الإلهام والروعة حول التعلم. وتنوعت مواضيع Big Questions من: "من أنا؟" إلى "هل يمكن أن يكون الصمت أفضل صوت نستمع إليه؟" مع التعاون الكبير بين الطلبة للمساعدة في إيجاد الإجابات.
وبالمرحلة الثانوية، أطلقنا محتوى موضوعنا، وزُود الطلبة "بالصورة الكبيرة"، للوصول إلى النتائج المنشودة لعمل أو موضوع الوحدة الدراسية المعينة. وسيبدأ الطلبة باستخدام خرائط التقدم لمتابعة رحلتهم التعلمية. فمن الضروري أن يدرك الطلبة ما يحتاجون إليه للوصول إلى الخطوات التالية.
Primary students launched their WOW topic, based around their Big Question for the half term. This is an event our teachers have loved planning, to inspire awe and wonder around all the learning. Our Big Questions range from, who am I? to could silence be the best sound? with lots of collaboration to help discover the answer.
In Secondary, our subject content has commenced and students have been provided with ‘the big picture,’ this explores the intended outcomes for that particular unit of work or topic. Students will begin using progression maps to track their learning journey. It’s imperative they understand what they need to do to get to the next step.

استقر طلبة مرحلة الروضة بشكل رائع بهذا الأسبوع، وتفاعل الأطفال جدًا في اللعب والتعلم. وكان من الرائع رؤيتنا لكل مجموعة طلابية ورؤية إرساء صداقات جديدة ما بين الطلبة. كما انشغل الأطفال في الرسم، ووضع العلامات، وطهي الحلوى بمطابخهم، والتسلق، والجري، والقفز. وانشغل المعلمون بعمل تقييمهم الأساسي لضمان معرفتنا بنقاط بداية الأطفال المحددة وخطواتهم التالية. ونحن نؤمن بشدة أن التواصل بين المنزل والمدرسة يعد أمرًا هامًا ولازمًا لضمان سعادة واستقرار أطفالكم. وفي حال وجود أي أسئلة واستفسارات لديكم، يرجى عدم التردد بالتواصل مع معلم الصف الخاص بطفلكم.
Foundation Stage has settled beautifully this week, the children are so engaged in their play and their learning. It has been wonderful to go into each setting and see the children making new friendships. The children have been so busy painting, mark making, cooking up treats in their kitchen, climbing, running and jumping. The teachers have been busy carrying out their baseline assessment to ensure we know your child’s exact starting points and next steps. We truly believe that the home school link is so crucial to ensuring your child is happy and settled. Do you not hesitate to reach out to your child’s class teacher if you have any questions at all.

لقد كان من الرائع رؤية العديد من أولياء أمورنا الحاضرين لجلسات "لقاء المعلم" بهذا الأسبوع. وقد منحت هذه الجلسات الفرصة للمعلمين لأجل تعريف أنفسهم ومشاركة أهم المعلومات حول صفوفهم التدريسية. وكانت إحدى النقاط الهامة التي ركز عليها المعلمون هي صنع التجارب الرائعة التي ستلهم طلبتنا لكتابة مواضيع ممتازة! حيث قام الطلبة بركوب الأفعوانية بالملاهي، واستمتعوا بالرحلات تحت الماء، وبالمغامرات الجديدة. وبهذا الأسبوع، عقدنا أيضًا لقاءنا الأول بالعام الدراسي، وتحدثنا عن القيادة الطلابية. ونحن نتطلع إلى الأسبوع المقبل لبدء حملات المجلس الطلابي بالمدرسة.
It was wonderful to see so many parents attend our “Meet the teacher” sessions this week. The session provided an opportunity for teachers to introduce themselves and share key information about their individual class.
Another key highlight for the teachers has been creating exciting experiences that will inspire excellent writing! Students have been on rollercoasters, under water journeys and sensory adventures. This week we also held our first assembly of the year and spoke about student leadership. We look forward to next week when our Student School Council Campaigns will begin.
Next week our Primary students will complete an independent reading assessment, which will be used by the teachers to inform planning and identify areas for development for each student.
In Year 2-6 onsite learnings will be sitting the KHDA approved NGRT assessments. These adaptive assessments are completed regularly through the school year to ensure progress is being made and assessment informed targets can be set.
Parents of Remote Learners who would like their child to complete this assessment, which aids teachers in targeting the student’s reading needs should email Mr Matthew m.barron_gns@gemsedu.com to confirm their child’s name and class. Mr Matthew will then confirm with you the arrangements that can be made.
Students that are unable to attend site to complete the assessment will be provided an alternative assessment which should be completed independently. For more information regarding the reading assessment for remote learners please contact the class teacher.

لقد كان من الرائع رؤية طلبتنا بالمرحلة الثانوية والسعادة تغمرهم ويتفاعلون بحصصهم الدراسية خلال هذا الأسبوع، حيث أكملوا مجموعة مختلفة من الأنشطة بدءً من الخطوط الأساسية حتى اكتشاف كيفية مساعدة استخدام "البكرات" في بناء ستونهنج منذ 5000 عام. كما كان أيضًا من الرائع رؤية انضمام عدد كبير من أولياء أمور طلبة السنة السابعة لفعالية "لقاء المعلم"، حيث تقابل أولياء أمور طلبة السنة السابعة الجدد مع معلمي صفوف أطفالهم عبر تطبيق مايكروسوفت تيمز، وتمكنوا من طرح كل الأسئلة الخاصة بالمرحلة الثانوية. وبدأ قادتنا الرعويون بالمرحلة الثانوية عملية اختيار طلبتنا المفوضين بالسنة الحادية عشر. ويتقلد طلبتنا المفوضون دورًا قياديًا أساسيًا بالمدرسة، مع تمنياتنا بوافر الحظ والتوفيق لكل طلبتنا المتقدمين لهذه المناصب.
وقد بدأت الآن أنشطتنا التفاعلية بفترة ما بعد ساعات اليوم الدراسي لأجل تعزيز وإعداد الطلبة بالسنة الحادية عشر والثانية عشر والثالثة عشر لتحقيق النجاح الأكاديمي في اختبارات الصيف، ونحن نتطلع إلى الجلسات التفاعلية الصباحية التي ستبدأ بالأسبوع المقبل (12/09/2021)، وهي ستكون متاحة لكل طلبة المرحلة الثانوية، على أن تكون من الساعة 7:00ص حتى الساعة 7:30ص. وابتداءً من الساعة 7:30ص، سيؤدي الطلبة مجموعة متنوعة من المهام التي ستغذي وتدعم التنمية الشخصية، وذلك ابتداءً من الأنشطة التي تركز على رفاهية الطلبة إلى الأنشطة المعنية بالأحداث الحالية.
It has been wonderful to see our secondary students extremely happy and engaged in their lessons this week as they complete a range of activities from baselines to investigating how the use of ‘rollers’ may have helped build Stone Henge 5000 years ago. It was also nice to see so many of our year 7 parents join the ‘Meet the Tutor’ event where new year 7 parents got to meet their child’s form tutor through Microsoft Teams and ask any questions they may have about the secondary phase.
Our pastoral leaders in the secondary phase have also started the exciting process of selecting our year 11 prefects. Our prefects hold a key student leadership position in the school and we extend our best wishes to all that apply. Our afterschool interventions to empower and prepare students in year 11, 12 & 13 for academic success in the summer have now started and we look forward to our morning intervention sessions starting next week (12.9.21) that are available for all secondary students and start at 07:00 – 07:30. During form time that starts at 07:30, students will have a variety of tasks that will nurture and support character development ranging from activities focused on wellbeing to current affairs.
Post-16 Focus

وعن مردود أحد مجموعاتنا الطالبية بالسنة الثانية عشر "لقد أحببنا واستمتعنا، كأفراد لصف دراسي واحد، بمقابلة كل المعلمين الجدد" كما كانت جلسات التوجيه المهني والدعم الذي تلقيناه من السيدة/ بولا بمثابة ضوء ينير لنا الطريق".
It can be tricky to get teens to talk about anything, especially what they might want to do when they leave school. However, it is important they think about their future, what they might like to achieve and what they need to do now so they can get themselves on the right track. This is even more relevant this year, with Covid-19 making us feel as if we have to wait until things get back to ‘normal’ before looking ahead – we mustn’t!
To help with, this week we launched Unifrog; a digital platform to provide valuable information to help students to make best choices. We encourage our parents to explore the website to make the process easy for their children. Unifrog - The complete destinations platform.
One of our Year 12 group shared the feedback, ‘We as a class loved and enjoyed meeting all new teachers. The Career sessions and the support we received from Ms Paola(Career advisor) has been a highlight for all of us.’
Morning Intervention Program
أولياء الأمور الكرام،
سنقدم بالأسبوع المقبل في مدرستنا برنامجًا تفاعليًا صباحيًا يبدأ بتمام الساعة 7:00ص. وستُعقد هذه الجلسات في الفصول العادية للطلبة، وهي ترمي إلى دعم وتنمية معرفة ومهارات وفهم أطفالكم. وأرد أدناه الجدول الزمني الخاص بذلك.
وهذه الجلسات التفاعلية ستبدأ اعتبارًا من يوم الأحد الموافق 12 سبتمبر، ونحن نتطلع إلى بدء طلبتنا ليومهم الدراسي بأداء الأنشطة التي تنمي مهاراتهم وتعمق فهمهم وتوسع معرفتهم وتثري تجربتهم التعلمية.

Dear Parents,
Next week at GNS we are offering an intervention program that will take place in the mornings starting at 7:00am. These sessions will take place in your child’s normal form room and are developed to support and extend your child’s knowledge, skills and understanding. I have included the timetable below.
These intervention sessions will start from Sunday 12th September and we look forward to all students starting their school day with activities to develop their skills, deepen their understanding, widen their knowledge and enrich their learning experience.

يود قسم التربية الرياضية انتهاز الفرصة للترحيب بكم بالفصل الدراسي الأول المميز بمدرسة جيمس البرشاء الوطنية، حيث نرحب بعودة النوادي الرياضية للأنشطة اللامنهجية إلى منهاجنا التعليمي. ويسعدنا الإعلان عن بدء العمل بالنوادي الرياضية للأنشطة اللامنهجية لطلبة المرحلة الثانوية بالأسبوع البادئ بيوم الأحد الموافق 12 سبتمبر 2021.
ونحن حقًا نقدر أهمية النشاط البدني والرياضة ورفاهية الطلبة، وبصفتنا أعضاء بقسم التربية الرياضية سنقوم بعمل العديد من الأنشطة المتنوعة على مدار العام الدراسي لمساعدة الطلبة على التقدم وتحقيق كامل إمكاناتهم. ويرجى منكم الاطلاع على الوارد أدناه تفاصيل الأنشطة اللامنهجية الرياضية للمرحلة الثانوية والتي سنقوم بها خلال الفصل الدراسي الأول.
وبما يتماشى مع بروتوكولات الحماية للتصدي لفيروس كوفيد 19، يتعين على أي طالب يرغب بحضور نوادي الأنشطة اللامنهجية المجيء إلى المدرسة مرتديًا زي التربية الرياضية، وإحضار المزيد من المياه تكفي للتواجد بالنادي حيث أن موزعات المياه الخاصة بالطلبة ستظل خارج الخدمة. وسيتم تجميع الطلبة الحاضرين للأنشطة اللامنهجية بوقت تناول الغداء من فصولهم، بينما يتعين على الطلبة الحاضرين للأنشطة اللامنهجية بفترة ما بعد اليوم الدراسي الذهاب إلى أماكن التجمع المحددة بالقائمة المذكورة آنفًا، حيث سيتم الترحيب بهم من قبل أعضاء الكادر المدرسي المسؤولين عن النادي وسيتم تسجيل حضورهم.
ويرجى العلم بأن مواعيد النادي الرياضي للأنشطة اللامنهجية تنتهي بتمام الساعة 16:00، مما يعني عدم توفر خدمة الحافلات المدرسية بذلك الموعد. حيث يتعين على أولياء الأمور/ الأوصياء اصطحاب الطلبة من أماكن اصطحابهم المعتادة بتمام الساعة 16:00. وتقع على الطالب مسؤولية إخبار أولياء الأمور/ الأوصياء بحضورهم للأنشطة اللامنهجية، وضمان اصطحابهم ونقلهم بالوقت المناسب.

The PE department would like to take this opportunity to welcome you back to a very exciting term 1 at GNS as we welcome the return of extra-curricular sports clubs to our curriculum. We are extremely pleased to announce that extra-curricular sports clubs for our secondary phase will begin the week commencing Sunday 12th September 2021.
We really value the importance of physical activity, sport and students’ well-being and as a PE department will be running wide range of activities throughout the year to help our students flourish and reach their full potential. Please see below for details of secondary sporting ECA’s taking place this half term.
In line with Covid-19 safety protocols, any students wishing to attend extra-curricular clubs should arrive at school in their PE kit and with extra water for the duration of the club as water dispensers for students will still be out of use. Students attending lunchtime ECA’s will be collected from their classroom whilst students attending after school ECA’s should promptly make their way to the locations listed above where they will be greeted by the staff member taking the club and an attendance register taken.
Please note that the finish time for extra-curricular sports clubs is 16.00 which means that the school bus service will not be operating. Students must be collected by parents/carers from their usual school pick up locations at 16:00. It is the responsibility of students to inform parents/carers that they will be attending an ECA and ensure collection and transport is arranged at the correct time.
We would like to thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing lots of our eager secondary students at GNS return to extra-curricular sports clubs to stay active, further develop their skills and have some fun!

نشكر أولياء أمورنا على تعاونهم الرائع معنا في إنفاذ إجراءات موقف صف السيارات، وضماننا للإبقاء على تدفق مروري جيد حول موقع المدرسة. ونحن نتابع الموقف يوميًا وسنستمر بالعمل على إجراء المزيد من التحسينات لضمان تطبيق أكثر الحلول فعالية وكفاءة. ونرجو منكم تزويدنا بدعمكم المستمر بهذه المجهودات المبذولة، والامتثال إلى التوجيهات الواردة من أعضاء كادرنا المدرسي أثناء التواجد بموقع المدرسة.
كوفيد 19. يرجى منكم التكرم بالاستمرار في الالتزام بضوابط وقيود كوفيد 19، وتوخي الحذر لعلامات العدوى. والأهم من ذلك، يرجى منكم إبقاء المدرسة على علم بوجود أي حالة إصابة إيجابية بينكم أو حالة مخلطة.
ونذكر أولياء الأمور/ مقدمي الخدمة الذين يأتون إلى المدرسة بارتداء شارة "ولي الأمر" الصفراء بكل الأوقات. وفي حال عدم توفر هذه الشارة معكم عند الحضور، سيتعين عليكم تعريف أنفسكم لموظفي الأمن المدرسي، وسيقومون بدورهم في إصدار الملصق الأخضر "للزوار".
يرجى الاطلاع على الإيضاحات الواردة أدناه من هيئة الصحة بدبي بشأن الحالات المخالطة.
وتعريف الحالة المخالطة هو الشخص الذي تعامل مع شخص مصاب بفيروس كوفيد 19 (باستثناء الذين تم تشخيصهم بالمرض من خلال فحص اختبار PCR خلال آخر ثلاثة شهور قبل تعامله مع الآخرين)، دون استخدام الأدوات الوقائية الشخصية المناسبة (PPE)، قبل يومين من المرض/ تاريخ المسحة الإيجابية حتى 10 أيام بعد ذلك.
ويُعرف التعامل مع الشخص المصاب بأحد أو كل النقاط التالية:
التواجد على مسافة متر واحد مع مصاب بالفيروس دون ارتداء الكمامة، لمدة 15 دقيقة أو أكثر.
التواصل الجسدي المباشر مع حالة مصابة بالفيروس.
تقديم الرعاية المباشرة للمرضى المصابين بالفيروس سواء بالمنزل أو في مراكز الرعاية الصحية (دون استخدام الأدوات الوقائية الشخصية المناسبة PPE).
العيش في نفس المنزل مع حالة مصابة بالفيروس.
Thank you to our parents for their amazing co-operation in the car park and ensuring we maintain a good flow of traffic around the site. We are monitoring the situation daily and will continue to work on improvements to ensure the most efficient solution is implemented. We would ask for your continued support in these efforts and adherence to direction from our staff whilst on-site.
Covid-19. Please continue to adhere to Covid-19 restrictions and regulations and be vigilant for signs of infection. Most importantly, please keep the school informed of any positive or close contact cases.
Please remember that any parent or caregiver who comes to the school is required to wear the yellow “parent” lanyard at all times. If you do not have the lanyard, please have your Emirates ID to hand as you will be required to identify yourself to security, who will issue you with a green “visitor” sticker.
Please see below clarification from DHA on close contacts.
Close Contact: is someone having exposure to a person with COVID-19 (excluding people who have had COVID-19 Disease diagnosed by PCR within the past 3 months prior to the exposure), without using proper personal protective equipment (PPE), from 2 days before onset of illness/date of positive swab to 10 days after.
Exposure: is defined as one or more of the following:
Being within one (1) meters of a COVID-19 case without a mask, for 15 minutes or more.
Direct physical contact with a COVID-19 case.
Providing direct care for patients with COVID-19 disease either at home or in the healthcare setting (without proper PPE).
Living in the same household as a COVID-19 case.

Jewels of Kindness
لقد تم في العام الدراسي الماضي إطلاق برنامج "نجوم جيمس في حسن معاملة الآخرين"، الذي يهدف إلى الإشادة بالطلبة الذين يتحلون بسلوكيات تمثل قيم الاحترام والإحسان للآخرين. كما تكمن أهمية هذا البرنامج في التأكيد على ضرورة تعليم هذه القيم للطلبة ليصبحوا مواطنين عالميين صالحين.
At the end of last year, we launched the GEMS Jewels of Kindness program which seeks to exemplify students exhibiting core values including compassion, kindness, respect, helpfulness and empathy.
The aim of this program is to emphasize the importance of values education to help our children become better world citizens.
