على الرغم من أن هذا الأسبوع كان قصيراً إلا أنه شهد الكثير من الأحداث والفعاليات. فبادئ ذي بدء، حظينا بشرف استقبال كبار الشخصيات في رحاب مدرستنا. فقد استقبلنا المؤرخ البارز حسين البادي يوم الأحد صباحاً والذي ساعد الطلاب وطاقم التعليم في سبر غور تاريخ دولة الإمارات وتراثها الأصيل، كما أسعدنا استقبال الفنان التشكيلي العالمي مطر بن لاحج والذي افتتح المعرض المجتمعي بمناسبة اليوبيل وألهم الطلاب بخطاب تشجيعي لحثهم على أن يثقوا بقدراتهم ويسعوا وراء شغفهم وأن يكونوا ذوي عزم صلب وطموح عالي.
علاوة على ذلك، حظينا بشرف استقبال نائبي القنصل الياباني كاناي شيمادا وهيديكي يابوموتو من القنصلية العامة لليابان في دبي ليحتفوا معنا بفعاليات اليوم الوطني. وقد شاركوا الطلاب أنشطة تبادل الثقافة بروعة متقنة، الأمر الذي سلط الضوء على القيم والمصالح التي يتشارك بها شعب دولة الإمارات وشعب اليابان.
ولا يفوتنا أن ننوه بأن فعاليات اليوم الوطني لا تنفك تظهر قوة التعاضد والتلاحم في مجتمعنا المدرسي. ومن هذا المنطلق نتقدم بخالص الشكر وكامل الثناء لأولياء الأمور وطاقم العمل على جهودهم المبذولة في إعداد أعمال فنية تعبر عن حبهم العميق وفخرهم لانتمائهم للمجتمع الذي تحضنه دولة الإمارات، حيث كان رائعاً الاحتفال بهذا الحدث الجلل برفقة المجتمع المدرسي على طريقتنا الفريدة.
This week has been a short but extremely eventful one where we have had the honour of welcoming distinguished guests to our very special school.
On Sunday morning distinguished historian, Hussain Albadi, helped students and teachers delve in to the richness of the UAE’s history and heritage. We then had the honour of welcoming world renowned artist, Mattar Bin Lahej, who opened our community jubilee art exhibition and inspired students with his message urging them to believe in themselves, pursue their passions and always be determined and ambitious.
On Monday, we welcomed Vice Consuls, Kanae Shimada and Hideki Yabumoto from the Consulate General of Japan in Dubai to our school Jubilee National Day celebration. The Vice-Consuls engaged with our students in a fascinating cultural exchange, reinforcing the shared values and interest that exist between the two great nations.
Our National Day events this week have once again demonstrated the incredible strength of our very special community. Students, parents and staff have produced inspiring works of art expressing their love and pride of the UAE and our community has come together to celebrate the historic occasion of the jubilee in our unique GNS way.

شارات أولياء الأمور/ الأوصياء: يرجى تذكر ضرورة ارتداء أي ولي أمر أو مقدم للرعاية يأتي إلى المدرسة لشارة "أولياء الأمور" الصفراء بكل الأوقات. وفي حال عدم توفر الشارة لديكم، يرجى إحضار بطاقة الهوية الإماراتية لتقديمها لضرورة تعريف أنفسكم لأفراد الأمن المدرسي، وسيصدرون لكم ملصق "الزوار" الأخضر.
سلامة الطريق وصف السيارات: ستظل سلامة وصحة مجتمعنا المدرسي على رأس أولوياتنا. ونرجو من أولياء أمورنا التكرم بدعمنا في حملة سلامة الطريق وصف السيارات بمدرسة جيمس البرشاء الوطنية:
- أولياء أمور والأوصياء والكادر المدرسي بمدرسة جيمس البرشاء الوطنية... يرجى القيادة دائمًا بتمهل وعناية.
- طلبة مدرسة جيمس البرشاء الوطنية. ارتداء حزام الأمان دائمًا/ الترجل من المركبات على الرصيف – وعدم النزول من السيارة على الطريق نهائيًا/ عبور الطريق مع فرد بالغ أو عضو من الكادر المدرسي/ النظر بالاتجاهين قبل عبور الطريق.
الإبلاغ عن الغياب المدرسي: يرجى من أولياء الأمور الإبلاغ عن غياب أطفالهم بأسرع وقت ممكن من خلال إرسال رسالة إلى البريد الإلكتروني: attendance_gns@gemsedu.com، مع كتابة الاسم الكامل للطفل، وصفه، وسبب غيابه عن المدرسة.
Parent/Guardian Lanyards: Please remember that any parent or caregiver who comes to the school is required to wear the yellow “parent” lanyard at all times. If you do not have the lanyard, please have your Emirates ID to hand as you will be required to identify yourself to security, who will issue you with a green “visitor” sticker.
Car Park and Road Safety: The health and safety of our school community must always remain our highest priority. We respectfully request the support of our parents with our GNS Car Park and Road Safety Campaign:
- GNS Parents, guardian and staff… Always drive slowly and carefully
- GNS Students… Always wear a seatbelt / Get out of vehicles on to the pavement – never step off in to the road / Cross the road with an adult or member of staff/ Look both ways before crossing
Reporting absences: Parents are requested to report the absence of their child as early as possible by sending an email to attendance_gns@gemsedu.com with the child’s full name, class and reason for the absence.

ضمن احتفالات مدرسة جيمس البرشاء الوطنية باليوبيل الذهبي لدولة الإمارات، زار السيد حسين البادي المؤرخ الإماراتي البارز ومؤسس مركز الإمارات للثقافة والتاريخ والتراث مدرستنا يوم الأحد الموافق 28 نوفمبر حيث انعقدت جلستان جمعته بطلاب المراحل التعليمية 6-9. وقد استفاد الطلاب من خبراته الثرية ومعرفته الواسعة في تاريخ الدولة وثقافتها، كما تناول مجموعة كبيرة من أسئلة كان قد أعدها استعداداً لزيارته. وحظي أولياء الأمور وطاقم العمل المتواجد في الجلسات بتجربة إثرائية واكتسبوا الكثير من المعلومات القيمة.
واسمحوا لنا أن ننتهز هذه الفرصة ونتقدم بجزيل الشكر والتقدير لزيارة المؤرخ البارز السّيد حسين البادي إلى مدرسة جيمس البرشاء الوطنية ونعرب عن عميق فخرنا بطلابنا الذين كانوا على أتم استعداد لإدارة حوار بنّاء أثناء المناقشة وكان أداؤهم غاية في التألق، فأحسنتم صنعاً يا طلاب المراحل التعليمية 6-9.
As part of Al Barsha National School’s celebrations for the UAE Golden Jubilee, Mr. Hussein Albadi, eminent Emirati historian, and the Director and founder of the Emirates Center for Culture, History and Heritage visited our school on Sunday 28th November, and held two informative sessions with our Year 6-9 students. Students benefited from his impressive wealth of information about the UAE history and culture, and had prepared a long list of questions in preparation of his visit. Parents and staff present equally enjoyed the sessions and gained new information from the discussion.
We take this opportunity to warmly thank Mr. Albadi for visiting our school, and express our pride in our students who came well prepared and led on a constructive discussion with our guest, which demonstrated high standards and preparedness. Well done Year 6-9 students!
VIP Guest - Mattar Bin Lahej
تشرفنا يوم الأحد 28 نوفمبر باستضافة الفنان الرّائع مطر بن لاحج والذي افتتح المعرض الفني الذي أقيم في قاعة الاستقبال في مدرستنا كجزء من احتفالاتنا باليوبيل الذهبي لدولة الإمارات الحبيبة، ولقد تجول الفنان في المعرض، واستمع لشرح من بعض الطّلبة حول أعمالهم، وقام بإبداء النّصح والمشورة حول هذ الأعمال التي أظهرت مواهب طلبتنا الأعزاء وذويهم.
وبعدها أمتعنا الفنان مطر بجلسة فنية خفيفة الظّل استطاع خلالها أن يصل إلى عقول طلبتنا ويحاورهم وينصحهم بأسلوب محبب جذب طلبتنا؛ فانطلقوا بطرح أسئلة تدل على اهتمامهم.
وقد عرض الفنان مطر بن لاحج بعضاً من أعماله أظهرت العديد من التّقنيات التي يستخدمها في الرّسم.
سعدنا جداً بزيارة الفنان صاحب الرّسالة القوية والهادفة والقريب من القلب.
On Sunday 28th November, we have had the honour of welcoming the distinguished artist Mattar Bin Lahej, who opened the art exhibition that was held in the school auditorium as part of GEMS Al Barsha National School’s celebrations for the UAE Golden Jubilee. The artist took a tour around the exhibition and was introduced to some pupils’ artwork whom he gave a steer. It is worthy of mention that the displayed artwork demonstrated the talents of our dear students and parents.
Afterwards, our distinguished guest amused us with a light-hearted art session through which he addressed the minds of students, gave guidance, and allowed the students plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
Furthermore, the artist presented some of his artwork that encompassed a multitude of drawing techniques. We were delighted with his visit and everything that he shared with us.
National Day Community Celebration
احتفل مجتمع مدرستنا باليوم الوطني بروعة لا يضاهيها روعة وقد تنوعت الأنشطة في جميع أنحاء الفصول الدراسية والقاعة ذات الاستخدام المتعدد، فضلاً عن قاعة المحاضرات. وقد كشفت مراسم الاحتفال بالعيد الوطني عن المعارض الصفية للطلاب، والتي أظهرت بدورها مهاراتهم في البحث والإبداع مع حرصهم على تعزيز معرفتهم بتاريخ دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة وثقافتها، وذلك إلى جانب الاحتفاء بالإنجازات الاستثنائية لدولة الإمارات. وإنه ليسرنا مشاركتكم تألق أبنائنا الطلاب والطالبات في العروض التي جرى إقامتها في قاعة المدرسة، والتي أبرزت مهارات الطلاب في البحث والابتكار. وقد شهدت قاعة المدرسة نجاحاً باهراً بإظهار فصاحة الطلاب أمام الملا وبلاغة لسانهم.
أما بالنسبة للقاعة ذات الاستخدام المتعدد فقد تضمنت مشاريع أعمال ناجحة قادها طلاب المرحلة الثانوية، حيث خططوا بعناية لهذا الحدث وحققوا أرباحاً كبيرة. فأحسنتم صنعاً. ولا يفوتنا أن نتقدم بكامل الثناء لأولياء الأمور على دعمهم المتواصل كما نتقدم بعميق امتنانا لأصدقاء المدرسة لما قدموه من تعاون غير محدود وعملٍ دؤوب لإنجاح هذا الحدث.
Our school community has celebrated National Day in style this year! Activities spread around classrooms, the MUGA court, and the auditorium. With ample opportunities for students to further develop their knowledge about the UAE history and culture, and to celebrate our beloved country’s successes and numerous achievements. The event showcased students’ class exhibitions, which demonstrated their skills in research and creativity;. Students’ performances in the auditorium were another success, with public speaking skills and preparedness evident throughout.
The MUGA court entertainment included the very successful Business projects led by our Secondary students, who have carefully planned for the event and have recorded impressive profits. Well done to our students and staff for another successful event, a huge thank you for our parents for their support, and a message of genuine gratitude to “Friends of the School” for their unlimited collaboration and help in preparation of the event.

Please note that admission for 2022-2023 is now open .As we give priority to our students (Siblings), we request all our interested parents in enrolling new children to GEMS Al Barsha National school to complete the registration process before 9th December 2021.

Jewels of Kindness
لقد تم في العام الدراسي الماضي إطلاق برنامج "نجوم جيمس في حسن معاملة الآخرين"، الذي يهدف إلى الإشادة بالطلبة الذين يتحلون بسلوكيات تمثل قيم الاحترام والإحسان للآخرين. كما تكمن أهمية هذا البرنامج في التأكيد على ضرورة تعليم هذه القيم للطلبة ليصبحوا مواطنين عالميين صالحين.
At the end of last year, we launched the GEMS Jewels of Kindness program which seeks to exemplify students exhibiting core values including compassion, kindness, respect, helpfulness and empathy.
The aim of this program is to emphasize the importance of values education to help our children become better world citizens.

و هو برنامج يتكون من عناصر عدة تطمح إلى المساعدة في الحد من تأثير الرسوم الدراسية السنوية و المساعدة في تحقيق هدف جعل التعليم الجيد متاحًا.
GEMS Rewards is our way of saying thank you to our community of Parents, Staff and Students.
It is a structured programme which consists of multiple components which aspire to help reduce the impact of annual tuition fees and help achieve the objective of making quality education accessible.
