Great Neck PTA is part of the national PTA organization which provides fits to local PTA organizations. This support enhances what the PTA can provide for our school community. Some Of the benefits include: • Automatically becoming a non-profit under the IRS rules. Normally, this would cost $750 and hours and hours of paperwork to complete. • Training for board members and an easier transition from year to year. Reduced rates for insurance coverage. • All members of the PTA must pay dues. The dues are a requirement of the national PTA organization and we have decided to charge only what the national organization requires. Please note that it is not a requirement to become a member of the PTA to attend meetings, volunteer Or attend functions. Membership is required to vote at meetings. Our hope is that you will become a member of the PTA. If you decide not to become a member, please know that you are still encouraged to attend meetings and voice your opinions. Every family is ALWAYS encouraged to attend the PTA activities and functions.
