Our App is designed to be set up by parents and safely used by children. We adhere strictly to the Google Play Families Policy requirements. We ensure that our App, including any APIs or SDKs it utilizes, is fully compliant with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy and Protection Act (COPPA), the E.U. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other applicable privacy laws.
No Personal Data Collection from Children: We do not knowingly request or collect directly identifying personal information (such as names, emails, or physical addresses) from children.
No Interest-Based Advertising: We do not display interest-based advertising or remarketing ads to our users.
No Tracking Identifiers: Our App does not transmit the Android advertising identifier (AAID), SIM Serial, BSSID, MAC, SSID, IMEI, or IMSI. Furthermore, we do not request location permissions or collect precise location data.
To provide a secure and customized experience, the App processes data strictly for functionality:
Parent-Provided Content: The App stores the specific YouTube channel URLs and video links that parents manually approve and add to their child's viewing list.
App Settings: We store your screen-time timer configurations, lock states, and daily viewing limits.
Account Data (Parents Only): If you create a parent account to synchronize settings across multiple family devices, we collect your authentication information (such as an email address).
We use the collected data solely to operate the App's core functionality. Specifically, we use it to:
Ensure only parent-approved content is accessible within the App.
Enforce the daily time limits established by the parent.
Synchronize your curated video lists and settings via our backend databases.
The Google Play Store requires us to disclose if we share personal data through APIs or SDKs. Our App integrates with the following services, which are implemented in a way that does not result in the unauthorized collection of data from children:
YouTube Data API: Used strictly to fetch and display the video content you have explicitly approved for your child.
Backend Services & AI: We utilize secure cloud databases (MongoDB) to store your account configurations and Google's Gemini API to assist in processing backend application logic. These external service providers process data based strictly on our instructions and in compliance with appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
Legal Requirements: We will only share personal data outside of our organization if we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to applicable laws, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests.
If users can create accounts in your app, we are required to provide a way to request the deletion of that account. We provide readily available options within the App's parent settings to delete your account and all associated data. Once requested, we will delete all user data associated with that account unless we must retain the information for legitimate reasons, such as security, fraud prevention, or regulatory compliance.
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
How to delete in the app: "Open KidzStream -> Settings -> Delete Account."
Manual Request: "If you no longer have the app, please email support@kidzstream.com from your registered email address with the subject 'Account Deletion Request'."
What is deleted: "Deleting your account will permanently remove your user profile, all child profiles, and your curated channel lists."
