Food Assistance

  • Tiger Packs Program - provides weekend food for Grinnell-Newburg students in K-8th grade. Contact your child’s school office to sign up or for more information.

  • Grinnell Middle School Food Pantry - The food pantry is located in the school building and is available to students of the middle school. The pantry has staples such as canned fruit, peanut butter, soups, and popcorn. This space also houses an invisible closet for students to access clothing, hygeine items, and shoes. Fresh fruit is available in the Student Support Offices. See Mrs. Leris or Mrs. Miller for access to the pantry and closet.

  • Grinnell High School - The food pantry is located in the school building and is available to students of the high school. The pantry has staples such as soups, canned fruit, popcorn, and peanut butter. This space also houses an invisible closet for students to access clothing items and shoes. See Mr. Laidig for access.

  • Community Meal - The Community Meal is located at Davis School, 818 Hamilton Ave. The meal is served on Tuesdays from 5:45pm- 6:15pm. All are welcome.

  • Fareway Double Up Food Bucks Program

  • Food Recovery Network - This food resource offers previously prepared food from local businesses. The food is distributed at the First Presbyterian Church, 1025 5th Ave. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at noon while Grinnell College is in session. During the summer and college breaks, they distribute on Tuesday and Thursday. Food is also available on Saturdays at noon at the Station Clubhouse. Call 641-236-6059 with questions.
