The college is located in a remote, rural, backward and hilly area and strives at its best to achieve its goals and objectives. More than 50% students in the college are from the backward families and are the first generation learners of higher education. More than 60% of the students are scholarship holders as they are belonging to the socially-economically backward families. At the beginning of every academic year the teachers arrange ‘Gram Abhiyan’ in villages in the neighborhood to make the students and their guardians aware of higher education. There is no criteria for admission in the college, any student seeking higher education, who have passed the last qualifying examination can take admission in the college. The process of teaching learning and evaluation is efficient in the college.

The proper care is taken to promote capacity to learn, communication skills, numerical skill, use of Information Technology, to work as a part of team and to work as independent. The number of co-curricular and extracurricular activities are arranged in the college for all-round personality development of the students. The college has efficient teaching staff for all the three faculties engaged in research activates.
