Message From the HOI
For children parents are the most important people as they are a child's first teachers. They give the child his first experience with a loving relationship, They serve as his role models and they direct his first learning oportunities. They are also important because they are people with feelings and needs. They must cope with difficulties and seek personal satisfaction.Their relationship with the child is loaded with some of the deepest human feelings. We respect the part played by parents in bringing up the children we meet at school. We share with parents, the responsibility for promoting a child's sound growth blended with learning and developing their potential socially, intellectually and emotionally at a period when growth and learning are rapid and significant.
Respect for the individual child and his needs are the basis for good school programme
In general the school aims at giving a high standard education to children and a basic competence to face and solve problems of the life with confidence. The immediate objectives of the school, therefore are:
To provide a rich educational programme, through intellectual, physical, social, and cultural activities.
To present problematic situations for habits of persistant effort to gain higher achievements in life.
To foster a good moral character and impart higher spiritual values.
To develop self reliance , self confidence, self control, and self respect.
To develop cooperativeness, sympathy, and respect for the personality and the opinion of others.
To cater to the requirements of children's individual differences in learning and provide remedial education; and special coaching programmes to remove backwardness in academic subjects.
To hold Psychological and physical tests periodically.
To encourage children to face interviews , and enter into discussions with others.Read more
A REALITY CHECK
In the New Normal, a question remains: how long will this masked appearance continue? Look at the realities!
Kashmir experienced complete alienation from the rest of the world for few months in 2019. This man-made calamity was somehow overtaken by the natural calamity of the Pandemic.
COVID kept apart the dear ones from each other while in many cases separated each other forever without even giving them a chance to bid adieu.
A new form of administration in Jammu & Kashmir sans political parties and elections continues.
A new mode of schooling, business and economic activities have been adopted and has become part of normal life.
Competitions, Public examinations and the Service Selection process have almost come to a standstill leaving the future of a generation so bleak and uncertain.
Qualifying without the practical know-how being assessed, ie; relying merely on the theoretical knowledge will have an adverse impact on society in the days to come.
Millions of jobs are lost and the lives of millions across the world have turned out utterly miserable.
Unfortunately the number of orphans – children or adults – is bound to be a great concern of the caring Governments and the people of goodwill.
The reason behind all these? Perhaps the uncaring attitude towards God’s beautiful world and the pride of money for which God planned to teach the humanity a lesson unforgettable.
Yet if predictions come true of a third wave of COVID in another mutant form, we will also be forced to adopt new behaviours.
So the new normal must open our eyes and take us into an Era of Realization.
Community education, also known as community-based education or community learning & development, is an organization's programs to promote learning and social development work with individuals and groups in their communities using a range of formal and informal methods.
In India, around 250 million students were affected due to school closures at the onset of lockdown induced by COVID-19. The pandemic posed several challenges in public and private schools which included an expected rise in dropouts, learning losses, and increase in digital divide.
Slowly taking online class after some time in the lockdown period onwards. Initially Online classes feel better. Where there was a complete change in the situation of the class's atmosphere. After a month came to know that there are lots of disadvantages and advantages to this type of education
Lockdown definitely changed us all in different ways. Personally, I have learnt not to take things for granted. All our lives we have taken the smallest things like our loved ones, our privileges for granted. Lockdown taught us the importance of life and the people around us.
Asgar Hassan Samoon, Principal Secretary, School Education Department, notified the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the move.
According to the notified SOPs, the community classes, henceforth, should be held under the overall supervision of the directors of school education in Jammu, Kashmir, deputy commissioners, chief education officers, zonal education officers and school heads.
