Pay offer 2025
Pay ballot now live
As of the 9th of October 2025, the ballot on the current pay offer has gone live.
we want as many of our members to vote to accept or reject the offer. This is a democratic process and we need your views, so we can go back to the employer as soon as possible. the closing date is the 28th of October so the recognised unions can meet and discuss the results. Please use your vote.
We will be sending out a ballot on the current pay offer from the employer hopefully by Friday the 10th of October 2025.
We need to know your thoughts on whether to accept or reject it. More information will be included in the communication we send out, but contact your branch secretary should you have any questions. you can also visit the national notice board for police staff.
Pay talks. 2025
Thank you for participating in the current pay survey. GMB have taken your comments on board and will look to form a staff side pay offer to put to the employer shortly. I will look to get the full paper out to you as soon as we collate the facts and figures, and it is agreed nationally.
The overwhelming mandate is to pursue, and above inflation pay rise for all staff. There will be some other items we ask for as in previous years like an extra Annual leave day etc., but when it's all agreed I will get the full proposal out to you.
People services Organisational change 2024/25
The consultation has now closed. We hopefully have a go live date which is the 28th of October.
If you are a member of people services or LNOD and have any questions about the current organizational change process, please get in touch. For the last few months there has been very little to tell you about, as the role profiles needed to be assessed through the HAY evaluation process. You should shortly receive some information from the employer about individual roles and circumstances. Again, any questions you have please get in touch.
New GMB workplace representatives
Lastly, we are always looking to increase the number of workplace representatives we have. If you are interested or would like to talk about what the role is like, please get in touch and we can have a chat. We can take on extra reps in most areas, but we are happy to over subscribe, as our business is spread over a large geographical area, and many shift patterns. Many hands make light work springs to mind. All training is given to perform the role, and the job release time given by the employer.Pay talks 2025 update 4/8/2025
The employer has set the police officer pay rise at 4.2%. It is likely that the employer will now resume talks with Police staff with an offer. We will keep you updated as much as we can.
If you have any further questions or queries please don't hesitate to get in touch and we will be happy to support you.
Kind regards,
Paul Rhodes
