Software Freedom Day as "FOSS Day"

Software Freedom Day(SFD) is an event which is celebrated all over the world on third Saturday of September every year since 2004. SFD is celebrated in India by 32 organisations, in TamilNadu by 22 organisations and in Chennai by 4 organisations including VIT University Chennai.

We at VIT University Chennai are celebrating SFD in the name FOSS day (Free/Open Source Software day). We welcome all the students for contribution towards FOSS Day activities.

FOSS Day Activities could be any of the following but not restricted to

• Installation of Linux Flavors
• Demonstration platforms
• FOSS Stalls
• CD Burning Stalls
• Video playing sessions
• Tech Talks
• FOSS Contests
• FOSS Projects expo
