The DEFCON (Defence Readiness Condition) represents the threat level currently facing the personnel aboard an Imperial station or planetary base. Starfighters, distinguished by all-black flight suits and fully-enclosed, vacuum-sealed helmets, remain ready for any flight operation.
DEFCON 5 - Regular Duties
Proceed with standard duties. Personnel should only have weapons on safety while guarding or conducting a patrol.
DEFCON 4 - Personnel on Alert
All Starfighter personnel should cease low-priority activities, immediately report to the Secondary Hangar Bay, and await further orders from a superior or Bridge Command.
DEFCON 3 & 2 - Personnel to Battlestations
All regular duties should be ceased if possible; personnel should report to their pre-assigned Battlestations. Starfighter personnel should immediately enter their TIEs and await further orders, engaging with hostile fighters as necessary.
DEFCON 1 - Abandon Station
Abandon your TIE fighters and enter Troop Transports, evacuating as many Imperial personnel to a secure location. Once as many personnel are evacuated, immediately re-engage hostile fighters.
As a member of the Imperial Starfighter Corps, we are tasked with assisting and maintaining Imperial control by serving as escorts and bombers supporting ground troops.
An Imperial Star Destroyer also serves as a Starfighter carrier, capable of carrying several TIE series variants and transport vessels. All Starfighter personnel assigned to a Star Destroyer or Imperial facility are tasked with supplementary responsibilities to serve the Empire better when not engaged with hostile fighters.
DEFCON 4/5 - Starfighter personnel assigned to Station Detail during DEFCON 4/5 are expected to assist Naval personnel, performing supply runs, maintenance patrols, conducting repairs, and performing engineering or repair duties.
DEFCON 2/3 - Starfighter personnel assigned to Station Detail and not defending the Station in a TIE variant during DEFCON 2/3 are expected to operate the Turbolaser systems or conduct emergency repairs on critical systems.
