Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GLP Tracker ("GLP Tracker", "the App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our GLP‑1 medication, nutrition, and weight‑tracking application.
GLP Tracker is a personal health‑tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always follow the guidance of your licensed healthcare provider.
By using GLP Tracker, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who We Are
GLP Tracker is the data controller for the information processed through the App. For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at:
Email: support@appmerge.net
2. Information We Collect
We designed GLP Tracker to require as little personal information as possible. You do not need to provide your name, email address, or create a manual account to use the App.
2.1 Account Information
When you first open GLP Tracker, the App automatically creates an anonymous account linked to a randomly generated identifier stored securely on your device. This lets your data sync and persist without collecting your real identity.
2.2 Health and Wellness Data You Enter
GLP Tracker stores the information you choose to log, which may include:
- GLP‑1 medication details (medication type, dose, strength, injection timing and frequency)
- Body weight and weight goals
- Meals, food items, and nutritional information (calories, protein, carbohydrates, fiber, fat)
- Water intake
- Physical activity (type and duration)
- Side effects and symptoms (e.g., nausea, fatigue) and their severity
- Personal goals and profile details you enter (such as height, target weight, and timeline)
This data is used to power the App's tracking, trends, and personalized guidance features.
2.3 Food Photos, Barcodes, and Voice Notes
When you log food using the camera, a barcode, or voice input, the relevant content (a photo, a barcode number, or a transcribed voice note) is sent to our servers and processed by an artificial‑intelligence service (Google Gemini) to estimate the food and its nutritional values. These inputs are used only to generate your nutrition result and are not used to identify you or for advertising.
2.4 Apple Health (HealthKit) Data
If you choose to connect Apple Health, GLP Tracker may read data such as body weight, height, steps, and active energy, and may write weight entries you record. This is entirely optional and requires your explicit permission.
- HealthKit data is used only to provide the App's tracking features.
- We never use Apple Health data for advertising or marketing.
- We do not share Apple Health data with any third party.
- You can revoke Health access at any time in the iOS Settings app.
2.5 Usage and Analytics Data
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve it. This may include:
- Anonymous app‑usage events (for example, which screens are viewed and which features are used)
- A device‑level analytics identifier
- General device and technical information (device model, operating system version, app version)
This data is used for analytics and app functionality only. GLP Tracker does not track you across other apps or websites, does not use advertising identifiers for tracking, and does not display third‑party advertising.
2.6 Subscription and Purchase Data
Subscriptions and in‑app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive your subscription status (for example, whether you have an active premium subscription) to unlock features. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Apple handles all payment information.
2.7 Device Permissions
The App may request the following permissions, each used only for its stated purpose and only when you choose to use the related feature:
- Camera — to scan meals, nutrition labels, and barcodes
- Photo Library — to select meal photos for nutrition logging
- Microphone & Speech Recognition — for voice food logging
- Apple Health — to read and write weight and activity data (optional)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide and operate the App's core tracking and logging features
- Calculate personalized nutrition targets, trends, and insights based on the data you enter
- Analyze food photos, barcodes, and voice notes to estimate nutrition
- Sync your data across app sessions and reinstalls tied to your anonymous account
- Maintain the security and reliability of the service
- Understand aggregate usage to improve and fix the App
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health data for advertising.
4. How Your Information Is Shared
We share information only in the limited circumstances below:
- Service providers that operate the App on our behalf, including:
- Google (Firebase Analytics) — usage analytics
- Google (Gemini AI) — food photo, barcode, and voice analysis for nutrition estimation
- Apple — subscription processing and, if you opt in, HealthKit
- Our hosting/backend provider, which stores your logged data securely on our behalf
- Legal requirements — if required by applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred, subject to this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your logged data is stored on secure servers operated by us or our hosting provider. We use industry‑standard safeguards, including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmitted between the App and our servers
- Secure on‑device storage of your account credentials in the iOS Keychain
- Access controls limiting who can access stored data
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information using reasonable technical and organizational measures.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as you use the App, so your history and trends remain available to you. If you request deletion of your data, or delete your account, we will delete your associated personal data from our systems within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law.
Analytics data collected through Firebase is retained according to Google's standard retention settings.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
Because GLP Tracker accounts are anonymous, you can also:
- Revoke Camera, Microphone, Photo, or Apple Health permissions at any time in iOS Settings
- Delete the App to stop further data collection on your device
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@appmerge.net. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
8. Children's Privacy
GLP Tracker is intended for adults managing GLP‑1 treatment and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located in countries other than your own, including by our service providers (such as Google and Apple). Where required, we take steps to ensure your data is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
10. Medical Disclaimer
GLP Tracker is a tracking and informational tool only. It does not provide medical advice and is not a substitute for professional medical care. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information provided by the App. Always consult your healthcare provider regarding your medication, dosing, diet, and health decisions.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
