They are based on scientific models (Fitzpatrick Scale, UV Index) and environmental data that are subject to variations.

• No Medical Advice: GlowRay does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your dermatologist or other qualified health provider.

• Risk Acknowledgment: Solar radiation is inherently dangerous and can cause skin cancer, premature aging, and severe burns. By using this app, you acknowledge these risks and agree that you are solely responsible for your physical safety and sun exposure.

2. ACCURACY OF DATA

• Environmental Estimates: UV Index data is fetched from third-party services and represents an estimate for your general area. Local factors (elevation, reflection from water/sand/snow, cloud cover) can significantly alter real UV exposure.

• Timers: Exposure timers are theoretical limits calculated to reduce the risk of acute erythema (sunburn). They do not guarantee that damage to the skin will not occur.

3. PRIVACY POLICY & DATA HANDLING GlowRay is designed to respect your privacy while offering both local tools and community features.

• Local Storage (Tanning Data): Your core personal metrics, tanning history, and progress photos are stored STRICTLY LOCALLY on your device's internal storage. If you delete the app, this local data is permanently deleted.

• Social & Community Features (Cloud Storage): To enable our social features, when you create an account, certain data is stored on our secure cloud servers (hosted by Supabase). This includes your email address, which is strictly kept private and never shared.

• Public Profile & Avatars: By choosing to upload an Avatar (profile picture) and setting a Username, you acknowledge that this specific information is public and visible to other users of the application. Please do not upload sensitive or inappropriate photos as your Avatar.

• Geolocation: We request temporary access to your location solely to fetch real-time UV Index data from our weather provider. Your precise location data is processed on-the-fly and is never tracked, saved on our servers, or shared with advertisers.

• Third-Party Services: To provide core functionality, we utilize trusted third-party services. We use a Weather API to fetch UV data, RevenueCat to securely process in-app purchases and premium subscriptions, and Supabase for secure cloud database and authentication. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

4. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY To the maximum extent permitted by law, GlowRay and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:

• Any skin damage, burns, or health issues arising from sun exposure while using the app.

• Inaccuracies in UV Index data or timer calculations.

• Technical failures or loss of local data.

5. USER RESPONSIBILITIES As a user, you agree to:

• Always use appropriate Sun Protection Factor (SPF) clothing and seek shade.

• Manually override app suggestions if you feel discomfort or see signs of skin reddening.

• Not rely solely on the app for infant or child sun protection.

6. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS By using the application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms in their entirety.
