ABOUT GLOW IN ASIA
GLOW in Asia is an international conference series that provides a forum for the presentation and discussion of advanced research in theoretical linguistics. The first GLOW in Asia meeting was held at the Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (now the English and Foreign Languages University) in Hyderabad, India, in 1998 as an extraordinary meeting of GLOW (Generative Linguistics in the Old World). Following the success of the Hyderabad meeting, the second conference was held at Nanzan University, Japan, in 1999, where GLOW in Asia was formally established as a sister organization of GLOW. Since then, GLOW in Asia has been hosted by leading research institutions across Asia, bringing together scholars from Asia and around the world to promote research and exchange in theoretical linguistics. Through the continued efforts of the Executive Committee and local organizers, GLOW in Asia has grown into a major forum for theoretical linguistics in the Eastern World.
