Editing your new website will work best on computer or laptop.

Does a Domain Cost Extra?

Yes, a domain (ie. yoursite@yourdomain.com) will have a yearly fee attached.  You may choose to purchase your domain from Godaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, or any other provider.  

The easiest way to purchase a domain is to open your website template, and then click the Gear icon on the top right side.  Click Custom Domains, and follow the instructions to purchase a domain name through Google Domains.  Connecting your site to the domain name is included, and the pricing is quite reasonable.

If you would like to purchase a domain through OurFrontDoor.ca or SmallChurchAdmin.com, the annual fee is $30, including connection.  Contact us for details.

Can I use the photos & text included in the purchased template?

Yes.  

All of the images are free from Unsplash, and they are available for anyone to use for personal or commercial use.  

From Unsplash.com:

"Unsplash grants you an irrevocable, nonexclusive, worldwide copyright license to download, copy, modify, distribute, perform, and use photos from Unsplash for free, including for commercial purposes, without permission from or attributing the photographer or Unsplash, but this license does not include the right to compile photos from Unsplash to replicate a similar or competing service."

All of the text is either written by Our Front Door or generated by OpenAI.  Our Front Door gives permission for personal or commercial use, and OpenAI gives permission for personal and commercial use.

Input and Output are collectively “Content.” As between the parties and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you own all Input. How will I get access to the template?

You will receive a pdf file that includes:

- a link to the Website template

- a link to the Contact Form template

- instructions on how to get started with your new website

- a link to video tutorials for editing your site

- my email address -- in case you get stuck!

What do I need to edit my website?

Google Sites is an intuitive, drag and drop interface.  You will be able to see your layout as you're editing it.  If you make a mistake, there is an Undo button, as well as a Version History.  Alternatively, you can always go back to the PDF you received when you purchased the template, and start with a fresh new website.
