About Me

My name is Roba Jabeen. I am based out of Dusseldorf, Germany. I am a Banking Professional, a Freelancer Artist and a travel Enthusiast.                        

I am the founder of "Glow & Patterns", an art initiative, which aims to bring people together through art and stories. It's a space to unwind from the chaos of busy lives, create beautiful art together and build meaningful connections. 

Since childhood, art has been part of my life - from drawing to painting and fluid art to terrazzo and mosaic. Mosaic & Terrazzo art, in particular, is deeply personal to me as it brings back cherished memories of my childhood and the creative moments, I had shared with my father. Growing up, my father had our house floors beautifully laid with works of mosaic art. I still remember standing by, as the artisans carefully cut, shaped, designed, assembled and polished each tile. I used to be completely mesmerized and fascinated by the beauty of mosaic art taking shape piece by piece before my eyes.                                     

And those early memories have stayed with me ever since then and had planted the seeds of my lifelong love for this Mosaic & Terrazzo art. 

Life and career took me away from art for a while, but 4 years ago, I returned. Since then, mosaic art has become much more than a creative hobby, it has been a source of emotional balance and mental well-being. Working with each tile calms my mind, helps me relax, and offers a deeply therapeutic experience. It also helps me connect with my roots, my memories, and the people I share this art with.
