Glosso – Privacy Policy

Glosso ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Glosso mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account or sign in, we may collect your email address, display name, and profile photo (if provided via Google or Apple Sign-In). You may also choose a username and avatar within the App.
1.2 Game Data
We collect gameplay statistics such as games played, scores, streaks, duel results, leaderboard rankings, and word-guessing history to provide the core game experience and personalized features.
1.3 Device Information
We may automatically collect device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and language preference to ensure compatibility and improve performance.
1.4 Usage Data
We collect information about how you interact with the App, including features used, screens visited, and session duration, to improve the user experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features (games, duels, leaderboards, rooms)
Create and manage your user account
Process in-app purchases and virtual currency (coins, gems)
Display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob
Send push notifications (daily reminders, duel invitations) if you opt in
Improve and optimize the App's performance and user experience
Prevent fraud and ensure security
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
Google Firebase: Authentication, Cloud Firestore (database), and analytics
Google AdMob: Serving advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data.

4. Advertising
The App displays ads via Google AdMob, including banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. AdMob may use your advertising ID (IDFA/GAID) to deliver personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and game data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal obligations.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and secure cloud storage through Google Firebase. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Access, update, or delete your personal information
Object to or restrict processing of your data
Request data portability
Withdraw consent at any time

9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We use Google Cloud infrastructure which complies with international data protection standards.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
