As part of the international project "O Violence for 100 Tolerance", students and teachers from various schools contribute by selecting meaningful words, providing definitions from reliable sources, and including their names, schools, and dates.
Each entry reflects both personal engagement and shared values, making this glossary a living document built across borders.
abuse
Definition: Abuse as a noun refers to improper use (e.g., drug abuse), physical mistreatment, or verbal condemnation. As a verb, it means to misuse something, treat someone cruelly, or attack with harsh words. Source

Definition: Compassion is a social feeling that motivates people to go out of their way to relieve the physical, mental, or emotional pains of others and themselves. Compassion is sensitivity to the emotional aspects of the suffering of others. When based on notions such as fairness, justice, and interdependence, it may be considered partially rational in nature. discrimination
Definition: Discrimination means unfair or unequal treatment of individuals or groups based on certain characteristics (race, gender, religion, language, disability, sexual orientation, etc.). This can result in people's rights being violated in areas such as employment, education and social services. Discrimination can be direct (clearly unfair treatment) or indirect (policies or practices disadvantage a group). Source

Definition: Love encompasses a range of strong and positive emotional and mental states, from the most sublime virtue or good habit, the deepest interpersonal affection, to the simplest pleasure. An example of this range of meanings is that the love of a mother differs from the love of a spouse, which differs from the love of food.
