Our primary goal is to provide real-time weather visualizations without compromising your personal data.

2. Data Collection and Usage Location Data: We collect your approximate location (latitude and longitude) solely to provide local weather forecasts. This data is obtained via the browser's Geolocation API only with your explicit permission. This data is sent directly to our weather data provider (Open-Meteo) to retrieve forecast information. We do not store your location history on our servers. User Preferences: We use your browser's local storage to save your settings, such as your preferred language, theme (dark/light mode), and the last city you viewed. This ensures a personalized experience every time you open the extension.

3. Third-Party Services We utilize reputable third-party APIs to function:

Open-Meteo: Used for fetching weather and geocoding data. Your coordinates are transmitted to them to retrieve weather data.
CDNs (Content Delivery Networks): Libraries like Three.js and Tailwind CSS are loaded from external sources to render the 3D graphics.

4. Data Security We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others. All data processing regarding weather retrieval occurs client-side (within your browser). We do not maintain a database of user profiles or browsing history.

5. Your Consent By using the Global Weather Live extension, you consent to our privacy policy. If you disable Geolocation permissions, the extension will default to a standard location (e.g., Brussels) and will not process your specific location data.
