Watertown Public Schools' own mission is to empower every student to "shape the world around them" — global education gives that mission a real reach beyond our town lines. This Guide is one educator's attempt to make that mission tangible in the classroom. Built by a teacher, for teachers — with a warm welcome to families and community members too! Here is what you will find:

1. 📖 LEARN: Visit this section for an overview of my thinking about Global Competence. It was informed by many amazing organizations and authors who have done much deeper dives into what it means, why it's important, and how we get there. It includes definitions, research, and an annotated list of organizations that support global learning. 

2. 🧰 TEACH: This is a toolkit for educators. I have curated lesson plans, digital tools, and local Massachusetts resources for you to use to bring global perspectives into your curriculum. I also included some details from our teaching in Taiwan.

3. ✈️ TRAVEL: Follow my Fulbright journey! This section features many of my Instagram posts, with additional detailed descriptions, photos, and reflections from my in-country field placement in Taiwan, centered around my specific guiding question for the trip.
