About the Course

This Global Teacher Competency Course is an independently created CPD course that covers a range of topics that equip teachers with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to teach effectively in diverse cultural and educational contexts. Teachers who complete this course will gain insights into specific competencies demanded by international schools. 

The course is recommended for school leaders, teachers in primary and secondary schools. Early years teachers can also take it.

Modules

There are 8 modules to cover in this course

Module 1: Cross-Cultural Competence

Module 2: Global Citizenship and Education

Module 3: Technology-Enhanced Learning

Module 4: Classroom Management and Instructional Strategies

Module 5: Student Support and Well-being

Module 6: Assessment and Evaluation

Module 7: Professional Development and Collaboration

Module 8: Contextualizing Teaching for Local and Global Contexts

Each module is delivered in text and curated video formats. 

Teachers who complete these will develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to teach effectively in diverse cultural and educational contexts.

Course Duration

This course is a self-paced course that has no specific duration. However, you can complete it in 1 or 2 weeks, depending on your study pace.

Assessment

You will take an assessment to complete this course to qualify for your certification. 

Note: Assessments are taken in batches of those who have completed the course content. All participants will be added to a dedicated WhatsApp group for support throughout the course period.
