PIERRE CHRISTODOULIDIS
After studying economics at the University of Geneva and obtaining a degree in Management at the ECL of Lausanne, Pierre worked for twelve years with Credit Suisse and set up the bank in in Egypt. He was a specialist of the Middle East region.
He founded his independent investment advice company in 1982 in Geneva – Switzerland.
He was a founding member of the Swiss Association of Wealth Managers in 1984 that he left after observing a lack of independence and transparence in the positions of its Board.
He created, in 1992, the Swiss Group of Independent Financial Advisors that he managed for over 25 years. He created with a few colleagues an international professional body. With several founding members of both organizations he stepped aside from bot structures after noting worrisome drifts within those organizations.
In 2000, he was also the founder of the IFAs self-regulating organization (SRO) and actively participated in the writing of the present Swiss law on financial services (LS-Fin).
He has a very consistent experience of the needs of the IFA profession but even now at an advanced age he is aspiring to participate in the creation of a real and impartial organization being truly and genuinely dedicated to the needs of the Independent financial advisers worldwide.
His preferred quote is:
“In life what is important is not to be perfect … But to be true.”
