Global Education Equality was created by three University of Hawai'i students from LTEC 448 who have a desire to spread education across the world. We're a group of student advocates who want to do good and have fun by bringing education to underserved regions around the world.

We believe the lack of educational opportunities is a crisis on a global scale and needs to gain awareness in every Western country. In bringing awareness to the world-wide educational deficient, we hope to establish consistent support in countries that lack sustainable educational structures.

In a global economy, if we are going to leave the world in a better place, we need to create the conditions where adults have the opportunities to engage each other. Our goal is not to not simply provide people with a piece of paper or a pencil; we want to provide an opportunity for a person to see that they too can make a lasting difference in the world. Helping people connect with and learn from each other is what we believe defines the true essence of education, and we believe this is possible through the use of Open Educational Resources or Mass Open Online Courses.
