2020年にスタートしたグローバルディープトークでは、これまで日本やオーストラリアをはじめ、世界の子どもたちが参加して、様々なトピックを扱ってきました。
2020年にスタートしたグローバルディープトークでは、これまで日本やオーストラリアをはじめ、世界の子どもたちが参加して、様々なトピックを扱ってきました。
たとえば、感謝、共感、コミュニケーション、教育、マインドフルネス、バランス、ゲーミフィケーションなど、いずれも私たちがこの時代を生きていく上で、様々なパワーを与えてくれるトピックばかりでした。

このイベントを始めたのは、二つのきっかけがありました。実は、私はオーストラリアのブリスベンの小学校で、日本語を教えているのですが、子どもたちが日本をはじめとして、多くの異文化に興味を抱いており、こうした子どもたちを結び付けたいと思ったのです。

そして、もう一つのきっかけは、2020年に始まったコロナ禍でした。皆さんもご承知のように、コロナ禍で、お互いに身体的に距離をおかなければいけなくなり、子どもたちのコミュニケーションに大きな影響を与える事態となりました。私は私はオンラインで子どもたちが積極的に結びついて、人生にとって大切なことを学ぶ「学校」を創りたいと強く思うようになったのです。
そして、もう一つのきっかけは、2020年に始まったコロナ禍でした。皆さんもご承知のように、コロナ禍で、お互いに身体的に距離をおかなければいけなくなり、子どもたちのコミュニケーションに大きな影響を与える事態となりました。私は私はオンラインで子どもたちが積極的に結びついて、人生にとって大切なことを学ぶ「学校」を創りたいと強く思うようになったのです。
まだまだ先が見通せない時代ではありますが、こういうときだからこそ、生きる力を磨く貴重な機会であり、このグローバルディープトークに積極的に参加していただきたいと思います。

初対面で緊張する人もいるかもしれませんが、これまで多くの子どもたちが、そうした緊張と向き合いながら、一生懸命コミュニケーションをしてくれました。その「人とつながりたい」「違いを乗り越えて人と話したい」という想いが、言葉や文化を超えたコミュニケーションに結び付くんだと思います。

Global Deep Talk, which started in 2020, has so far covered a variety of topics with the participation of children from Japan, Australia, and around the world.

For example, gratitude, empathy, communication, education, mindfulness, balance, and gamification were all topics that gave us a lot of power to live in this age.

There were two things that inspired me to start this event. I teach Japanese at an elementary school in Brisbane, Australia, and the children are interested in many different cultures, including Japan, and I wanted to bring them together.

Another reason was the Corona disaster that started in 2020. As you all know, the Corona disaster caused children to have to physically distance themselves from each other, which greatly affected their communication. I became strongly motivated to create a "school" where children could actively connect with each other online and learn what is important in life.

Some of you may be nervous when you meet someone for the first time, but so far many children have done their best to communicate with us while facing such nervousness. I believe that this desire to connect with others and to overcome differences and talk with others will lead to communication that transcends language and culture.
